I found the experience of living under the olive trees deeply transformative. The walk to Pisciotta is steep and lovely, taking 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your level of fitness. Walking to the beach is more like 40 minutes to an hour. Don't forget the part about sheets and towels."

"The location is about 20 km from Maratea and about 1 km or so above the beach and perhaps 600 meters to an old village, The photo of the water is NOT from the suite, which looks out over backwards and an a soccer field with the sea in the distance. "Beautiful peaceful location set in the mountains and overlooking the ocean with breathtaking views. The house was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. The owner was friendly and helpful too. My only criticism is it could have done with a good clean and good airing and updated bed linen and to have had a maid to at least change to towels. We also couldn’t find the outside bins and recycling so clear instructions would help but apart from that it was perfect."
