Lovely Stay at Serenity Lodges

We loved our stay at Serenity Lodges in Dominica. The surroundings were beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable and we loved the way it was set up. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to Dominica.

This place is a wonderful getaway, with lovely views and great places to relax. I especially enjoyed the food and how dedicated they are to making you feel welcome and cared about. I'd love to return and check out the tours as I didn't have time on this trip.

Serenity lodges is the perfect place to stay when arriving at the airport! The owners, Lester and Carina, are wonderful people - they keep a spotless place, and they are very helpful. It is far enough out of Marigot to have peace and quiet after a long day’s travel – their dinner and breakfast are delicious! We can’t recommend them enough!

Amazing stay

You couldn’t wish for a better host. Carina was so friendly, helpful, an amazing chef and great with suggestions of where to go. The situation of the property was lovely so close to the rain forest. I would definitely visit again.

We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem.

We only stayed overnight but Carina was a wonderful host. She was very flexible with our late check-in, arranging taxis and even made dinner for us upon our arrival. The room was simple but nice. The grounds were beautiful - could hear the stream flowing below.

I absolutely recommend anyone visiting Dominica to stay here. I had an amazing stay thanks to the staff and the beautiful nature all around. Very comfortable and relaxing. I travel a lot and always stay in hotel, but this is a place of serenity. Highly recommend to stay here for a different experience from your typical hotel. You really get to take in the island and all its beauty.

We loved our stay at Serenity Lodge! We chose it as our plane arrived late in the day at the airport and after a long day of travel, we didn’t want to drive far. It was the perfect place to stay. Not only for the location close to the Douglas- Charles Airport, but, more importantly, for the opportunity to meet Lester and Carina. A wonderful couple who warmly welcomed us, made a delicious dinner and made us feel at home! Their place is spotless, comfortable, and quiet! We loved it and will return.

Beautiful, stress-free stay

This place is less like a lodge and more like being hosted by a wonderful local family that shares their home and their culture. There are beautiful views every morning at breakfast and Carina will accommodate any dietary restrictions (I am vegan and gluten free). Having the tours coordinated in-house made the second half of my trip stress-free not having to navigate the bus system or pay excessive fees for taxis.

Hidden Gem

It was a very serene lodge. We only got to stay one night but the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We slept with the screened windows open and could hear the rain all night. It was such a good night’s sleep. The hosts were wonderful and we had a Continental Breakfast of fruit, avocado and toast and an excellent chicken and rice dinner with avocado and vegetables. I would like to return for a week or more.

We had a great stay at Serenity Lodge. The airport transfer by Serenity Lodge after arriving late in the evening was much appreciated. They arranged to have a dinner ready for us once we arrived and before we went to bed . The food was amazing and exceeded any expectations we had! We woke up to see beautiful mountain views that we hadn't seen in the night when we got in. It looked like there was a hammock outside of each room, as well as a kitchenette available to each room for use for a small payment if needed. We'll absolutely stay there again!

It’s a family run business, everyone was friendly and easy to deal with. It’s out of the hustle and bustle of Marigot but an easy drive. It’s quiet and beautiful.
