"Sugar Mountain" Is a brand new home with magical views and breathtaking sunsets

  • This magical place gives the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but yet is only 5 minutes to the village of Margaretville which has all of the shops and conveniences you could ask for. Your rental will include the use of a row boat & 2 kayaks that you may take to any of the surrounding ponds and lakes. The surrounding area has an abundance of hiking trails, waterfalls, and swimming holes to discover as well as ski mountains, mountain golf courses, ziplining, scenic train rides and other outdoor activities. This brand new immaculate home awaits you to enjoy the fabulous great room with soaring ceilings, wood burning fire place and sliding glass doors to large deck with table seating and propane heater. Kitchen includes microwave, oven, electric stove, refrigerator and freezer, toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. The two bedrooms on the main level include 1 King & 1 Queen size bed & 1 full bathroom, The bunk room on the lower level includes 2 queen beds & 2 twin beds with an en-suite bathroom and a large recreational room. Wifi and TV with streaming capabilities. Washer and dryer for laundry. Driveway parking.

Beautiful, beautiful home with amazing views. The moment we entered the property, everyone just went "wow." You're greeted with the exact view in the pictures - except it's just so much more breathtaking in person. Expressions like "words can't describe" and "the pictures don't do it justice" is created for views like this. The house is impeccably equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed and more. We had a lovely time watching the sunset and enjoying the firepit. A great stay that really took us away from our everyday stresses. Five stars!

Great Fall Foliage

Cannot say enough good things about this house. You can tell a lot of love and care has gone into making guests feel like it’s not just a house but more like a home. Abundance of room and a fully stocked kitchen made it a comfortable much needed relaxing getaway for all of us.

We had a great time at this rental. Check in was smooth and communication with the owners was seamless. The home is exactly as pictured and very well stocked with all the extras if you need them. The location is great for access to snowboarding and there are several restaurants in the area. The check out process was simple, which we really appreciated as that seems to be one of the biggest drawbacks to vacation rentals. If we could give more than 5 stars we would, we hope to be back soon!

A view we would never tire of!

This is a great house with a fabulous mountain view! The owner was helpful and responsive when we had a couple of questions. The location was great. The house was well furnished and everything worked as it should. We saw the resident ground hog and a small fox. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend the house!

Gorgeous Catskill house and views

A balm! Beautiful home with all you need for a comfortable stay in the mountains. Late August brought us warm days to hike and spend time on the deck overlooking rolling hills and reservoir and cooler nights to spend around an outdoor bonfire. Comfortable beds and state of the art appliances and rooms sized for company added to the experience. Can’t wait to return and check out new seasons to explore.

Great Ski Weekend!

We had a wonderful ski weekend with friends at Bellearye. It was a short 20 minute commute to the mountain. It had snowed a bit which made the views from the backyard even better than they already were. We took full advantage of the indoor fireplace, the speaker system and overall space. We skied all day and came home to a cozy house with very comfortable beds. We shared great meals, fun games and dance parties. The house was very clean and the host was a great communicator. Thank you for hosting us! We will be back!

Family ski weekend

We had a great time at this beautiful spot! The house was great and the view was amazing. We were there for a ski weekend - 8 adults. We enjoyed the fireplace every night and made use of the kitchen stocked with all of the necessary tools. Meals around the huge table and coffee with that view in the morning!!! Fausto made sure the road was plowed and sanded before we arrived and it was sanded again on the morning we left. The road up to the house is a bit tricky and 4-wheel drive is a must!! I only wish we had known that before we trekked up there! We did leave one vehicle in the municipal lot down below but the police were very accommodating and assured us that it happens all the time! We have plans to return when we can enjoy the warmer weather on the deck.

We like relaxing in secluded vacation spots with no traffic issues. This certainly suited our needs. It was a little remote to entertainment and restaurants, but the village of Margaretville was quaint, friendly, and had a handful of nearby spots to dine.

First, I'll start with the magnificent view in a very private setting.The house itself was designed beautifully, and very functional.There were views from almost every room.It's a chef's dream to cook in a kitchen with such beautiful scenery outside the window!Margaretville is 10 minutes away where there is a well stocked supermarket which included organic produce.Fausto was a great host!We would like to return again!
