"The staff was so friendly and always helpful. The rooms were small but beautiful, with a great view over the courtyard. And the best part: for €10, we could rent bicycles for the whole day! "

"The room was great! Really warm, awesome bed and bathroom. The reason for the lower scores was breakfast; breakfast is brought in on a tray from an external supplier. The first day was ok, although it’s obvious the tray had sat for a while. When we went to breakfast we found the room was locked and the delivery guy standing outside in the cold (1c) with our breakfast on the tray. At 09:16 (we had asked for breakfast at 09:00 at check-in) a lady turned up to open the door. The breakfast and room were freezing cold but we were hungry and most places in town don’t open until 10am so ate up! There was no apology or explanation offered.
So overall, great hotel but I’d recommend you skip breakfast."
"Great location if travelling around the Netherlands by train. Well situated near the central station with easy access to nice bars, restaurants and tourist info & sites. Breakfast is great, but a bit pricey if you don't want it every day. However, there are good coffee shops nearby and an Albert Hein take-away in the station (a block away). Don't make the mistake of booking the non-cancellable unless you are absolutely sure of your dates. We found it was less costly to book an extra night than to change our dates. Booking the flexible option or with the hotel would have given us the necessary flexibility. A lesson learned at some costs, but local taxes can be reclaimed. "
"Large open room, comfortable bed, and nice shower. Attentive staff. Dining area available during the day for coffee or light snacks, and lunch. Maybe 5-10 min walk to the train station for easy day trips, like to Delft or Den Haag. Several good cafes & restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the stay and visit to Leiden."
Step back through history to the medieval times of cut-throat deceptions and power politics when you visit this hilltop castle that overlooks the Rhine.
Once full of cattle and sheep for sale, this pretty square overlooking a canal is now the starting point for canal boat cruises and a great spot for morning coffee.
