If you are looking for a place to get away from every day work and stress, this is a good place to visit for a night or two. I would recommend any time other than the summer, with no AC at the property. The icy breeze cooler helped but it was still very warm at night. Fall or spring time would be wonderful though.
Our weekend was very enjoyable. Nice off-grid getaway location. A short drive from town. And very close to Turkey Bend Recreation Area. Communication with our host was great and they were very helpful. We will definitely be returning!
Amazing view and location close to austin. Enough away from the city to sleep under the sky full of stars. Very quiet and lot of privacy.

The cabin itself is charming and the view is fantastic—we really wanted to love this spot. However, the experience felt much rougher than the listing implies, and several basic amenities were missing or misleading.
Water: The listing promises a 'water dispenser,' but we only found a 5-gallon open jug with no lid or pump. It was difficult to use and hard to determine the source of the water.
Comfort: The fold-out futons were incredibly uncomfortable, making it hard to get sleep.
Cleanliness: The large barn doors do not seal, meaning the space was full of dust and bugs. We understand this is 'glamping,' but the gaps made it impossible to keep the space clean. This could be fine if it were described as a shelter rather than a 'cabin', implying window screens.
Amenities: We also found the instructions for the outhouse and water situation very unclear.
The property also has quite a bit of old farm equipment scattered around, which takes away from the peaceful scenery. If the host upgraded the bedding, provided a real water dispenser, and added more specific details to the description, this would be a gem. As it stands, it felt overpriced for the lack of basic functionality.

The property has a beautiful view. Nice and breezy. It’s safe no wild life around. We had to park our vehicle at the bottom of the hill and hike up to the cabin. With that being said we left the luggage in the vehicle. Next time we will prepare better. The only problem we encountered was the shower. There was not enough water for 2 people. Overall It was a good adventure!
