You can enjoy the campfire in the front yard right on the waterfront. There main dining room and living room area overlooks the river with large full size windows. Many of our guests are amazed at the view and comment on it in our guest memory book. Cardinals and hummingbirds feed daily on the bird feeder outside. We regularly have deer in the yard nibbling on our plants.
The main part of the home offers two living areas, a large flat screen SMART TV with wireless internet access. The entire home was recently painted and has newer carpet and tile throughout the home.

My family and I stayed at Maray Hills for a Thanksgiving getaway. There was lots of common area space for the 8 of us to gather, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sleeping accommodations, beautiful views and plenty of property to walk around. The owners were so easy to work and everything from check in to check out was very smooth. We hope to return during the summer to enjoy more of what the area has to offer!
Perfect spot for our family to get away for a few nights! Lots of space for everyone—we enjoyed the birdwatching, fishing, and nearby hiking trails. The hosts were excellent communicators, and the location was great.
The property is absolutely gorgeous with a waterfront and an extensive yard that is private. We especially enjoyed the great room with large picture windows perfect for birdwatching as well as the long family dining table. The host is very friendly and helpful. Such a good weekend trip!
Our family came here for a short trip to Mohican State Park and had a great experience! The hosts communicated in a timely manner and everything was as expected. The space is gorgeous and in a great location near Mohican. We enjoyed the views and the bird feeder!
This is our third trip to the area and our first stay at Maray Hills. Communication from the host was excellent from start to finish. The home is beautiful and well stocked with everything you should need. Location is perfect as well. We enjoyed having fires in the evenings and all the fun things to do nearby. Thanks for a memorable trip, I'm sure we will be back again :)
The house was better than the pictures and exactly what we needed. The A frame space and living room are roomy enough to allow teens/older kids to gather for board games and hanging out. The bedrooms were good sized. The property was beautiful and secluded.
A unique and cozy cabin, perfect for our adult children to gather and enjoy Christmas together. Clean and well equipped, accommodating our love of cooking and hanging out with an open kitchen. Loved the Christmas decorations and being right on the river! the views are outstanding. We were very pleased and hope to return again. Thank you.
Very beautiful, cozy cabin. Plenty of room for the whole family to relax, play games, watch our traditional Christmas movies, cook and eat. Very memorable experience. Thanks so much.
My mom and sisters spent a relaxing weekend here to celebrate mom’s 60 th birthday. Overall it was nice, beds were comfortable, and the communication with the owners was great! The only reason for 4 stars is, I think it could use a deep clean, however it wasn’t filthy, and I would recommend it.
We booked a month long stay in Ohio. This property was absolutely perfect.
We had the best time sitting on the deck watching the wildlife. Also sitting by the river watching the rafters.
Kitchen was well stocked. AC was cool.
We have already booked for 2025!
We really enjoyed our stay at Maray Hills. We looked for a get away for our family that was pet friendly. My husband's dad just passed away unexpectedly and we needed a distraction as this was the first holiday without both of his parents. The large windows provided a beautiful view of the river. We had everything we needed for cooking during our stay. It was clean, spacious and quiet. We would love to go back in the summer. Than you for a beautiful weekend away.
Maray Hills property did not disappoint! We stay in the Mohican area a couple times a year, and this cabin was absolutely perfect! The property grounds were amazing, there’s private acres of land to hike, wildlife to see, fresh spring water to drink on your hike and rivers and hills! We had the chance to chat with the property owner and get a little history of the family owned property. Such a fantastic find! We would definitely come back!
We can’t say enough good things about the owners, first and foremost being how incredible it was that they didn't increase the rent for the total eclipse as so many other property owners were doing for this event. Joe also offered to drive us to the top of the hill to view the eclipse. The place was perfect, clean, and had everything you could want. Lots of room. Super efficient kitchen area. And so close both to town and to the state park for hiking and fun. Our family had such a wonderful time.
This was a beautiful Christmas vacation. The property was serene. Beautifully maintained and impeccable. We were greeted with an amazing freshly cleaned smell as soon as we walked in. Very spacious! The kitchen is well stocked with all the supplies you need to prepare and serve meals. The owners even took care to ensure multiple Christmas trees were up for us. The bird feeders were kept full our entire stay even though it was December. My family was in love. Can’t wait to go back!!!
My friends and I very much enjoyed our cozy cabin trip at this lovely property. The highlight for us were the gorgeous windows in the main room, which gave us an unencumbered view of the birds at the feeders. It was so peaceful and entertaining that we didn’t turn the tv on at any point. And the morning of our last day we saw a bald eagle who flew by and then perched on a tree across from the house for several minutes. It was amazing and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to our very kind and generous hosts who invited us up to their maple syrup sugaring shack to watch them make fresh syrup. We didn’t take the opportunity but very much enjoyed the tasty syrup they gifted us.
The house was perfect for us. We had our family Thanksgiving there. Plenty of room and the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans we needed. The large windows faced the river with a very nice view and had bird feeders that were a blast to watch - many species of birds and a couple of adorable squirrels came to visit. The house was clean with comfortable furniture and beds. The setting is very private, but a super convenient place if you stay in the summer, for hiking, canoeing and visiting the state park. The owners kindly touched base with us when we got there, but everything was so nice we never had a need to bother them during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others.
The property was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for 7 friends to get together for lots of laughs, games, cooking together, and making memories. Enjoyed the fire pit area while the rain wasn’t falling, we made the best of it on a rainy fall weekend. Beds were pretty comfortable, bathrooms were nice, living space was cozy, watching the river and all of the birds attracted to the property while drinking morning coffee was very pleasant. Everyone had a great time! I would definitely rent the property in the future. The grill could use an update.
