Welcome to Mansfield. Home of Shawshank prison, Mansfield Speedway, Mid Ohio Sportscar course, Inkarceration music festival, Snow Trails ski resort and so much more.
We LOVE all things 70's! The music, the toys, the decor,the vibe, the furnishings, and even a 70s photo op wardrobe.
Experience the things that made this decade iconic. Listen to our music collection on vinyl. Check out our View Master collection as well as tour huge collection of vintage board games, and Fisher Price Little People you remember from your childhood. Relax with a good book from our "free library" or sit down to game of Battleship
Our rural yet close to dining and shopping property features a step free environment, a FULLY stocked hot beverage bar (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) with all the extras.
We are conveniently located just off the interstate near Snow Trails Ski Resort. Minutes from Ohio State Reformatory more well know as Shawshank State Prison, as well as the newly renovated (2026 season) Mansfield Speedway.
We are dog friendly with a fee of $50 per dog per stay. No weight/size restriction. Multiple dog? no problem.

Cool little place. I love that they accept the dogs. Just an idea for the future, maybe somehow put up a dog fence so that the dogs have a yard and don’t have to be out in a leash.

Great Stay!

Excellent location to explore Mohican/Malabar Farms, as well as the surrounding areas. The house is very fun and authentic! They keep it stocked with a huge selection of amenities and I would stay here again!

Groovy Stay

Fun rental outside of Mansfield!

This was one of the best VRBO stays we've had! The decor was whimsical and fun, the unit was very clean and bigger than we'd expected, and the coffee bar and included items were so thoughtful. The area is quiet, yet still very close to Mansfield. Awesome stay!

Can't recommend it enough!

My husband and I love to stay in fun and unique places when we travel and this definitely fit the bill! Barb and Bob have thought of every amenity. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip in time back the 70s and had a blast playing the games and sipping tasty coffee.

Fun Property!

My wife and I traveled from Granville to Mansfield to have dinner at Prohibition at the Caves. The property was beautifully decorated, very clean, perfect amount of room to relax. It was stocked better than any property I've ever rented from VRBO! Literally everything you might need. I'm going to tell friends about this experience, they need to see it!

Christmas in July 70’s Style

This was a surprise for my sister and daughter. When they walked in their jaws dropped, they loved the feel and decor. We were able to cook dinner, play games and spend time together as a family. Very convenient location to sight see in Mansfield. Host was quick to communicate and answer questions. We loved our stay in the throwback 70’s house! Highly recommend!

Great Stay

Almost every stay across the world today is similar. Not this one. You win the prize for an inspired specialty! We who have lived through the fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, and so on, really enjoyed your efforts to take us back in time. And the cleanliness, privacy, spaciousness, attention to detail, and extreme generosity speak to your passion to make people comfortable. We hope to be back next year for our regular visit to Mansfield.

Cozy, Cute, and Pet-friendly!

Just walking in the door we were welcomed by the whimsical fun 70’s decor and goodies for us AND our dog. Back to the 70’s made us feel like kids again! In between tours of the Renaissance Theatre and Ohio State Reformatory we read the various magazines and played with the toys that brought us back to our youth. Nothing is left undone here, from the games to the farm fresh eggs to the list of things you can see in Mansfield, plus brochures on EVERYTHING nearby, this place is a true gem! Bob and Barb are the most wonderful hosts. Highly recommend if you come to Mansfield!!!

Great location & host

Close to everything we needed but out in the country. House was as described. Host put a lot of effort into making this a throwback experience to the 70’s. Like in the other reviews if you forget anything the house will have it. We had our 4 frenchies and Cane Corso with us and we had plenty of room. Tough to travel when we want to take our extended family but this house was great for us. I didn’t notice any dog orders and neither did my dogs which is always a plus. One thing I would point out is this a split rental with another rental upstairs which we looked at it was a throwback to the 50’s and was really nice as well. If traveling here or just passing by good accommodations and a good host.

70s Vibe!

This house was amazing! We enjoyed all of the 70s items and feeling like we had stepped back in time. Barb included so many extras! She had anything you could ever need in the bathroom, the hot drink bar was out of this world (I have never seen so many choices!), she also offered movie night snacks! We were so surprised to open the fridge to see a dozen farm fresh eggs. They were delicious! Barb also left gift bags for us! So thoughtful! Her house was in a great location so close to downtown Mansfield, but in a very quiet spot. We had a great time!

Best place we've ever stayed!

When we travel we prefer to stay at home rentals because our dog travels with us. On this trip we stayed the cutest one we've ever stayed in and we are sad we only booked one night here! It is decked out in everything 70s and it's a flashback to everybody's mom or Grandma's house back during that decade. We loved it! They had 30 different games from our childhood, all sorts of toys, and oil lamp, period furniture etc. Just the best! Hosts were amazing. They thought of everything from Fresh eggs in the fridge from their chickens, snacks, coffee, tea, popcorn, extra toiletries, a gift bag for our dog and donkeys down the road that we could pet. Check this one out if you're coming this way to see the Ohio State Reformatory or anything else they have in this beautiful area.

Clean and fun

Super fun, everything you could need is provided from snacks to mouthwash. The host makes it a point to welcome you for the occasion of your visit. However, there is an odor in the bedroom. I guess the fact that dogs are welcome would probably explain it. I wasnt prepared. We sprayed febreese often and it helped. Just be aware if you have a sensitive nose or arent an animal person. The place is so clean and welcoming - it didnt make sense to us at all. We had so much fun with the toys and all the snacks too.

Great spot for great price with awesome hosts

My friend and I drove to Mansfield for photography purposes and had been looking everywhere for a place with 70s style and decor. We didn’t end up staying the night because we live so close but the place is awesome and Barb is very kind and helpful!
