★★★★★ "The peaceful serenity afforded by the area is intoxicating. We loved sitting by an open fire, riding bikes, paddling the canoe as we explored the lake, reading, relaxing, cooking most of our own meals, and just simply enjoying the peacefulness. The lack of a TV absolutely fosters family time. We are definitely planning on return visits!”- P.D. ★★★★★

Beautiful
We just loved our stay in this cozy cabin. We have stayed here before, but, not since it has been updated. The bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean and well stocked. Love the location on the lake. My husband appreciates the spot for his boat. We hope to be back.

Peaceful
This was our 21st year at Alderwood. Our extended family ( made up of 4 families) returns every year for fishing, swimming and family bonding. That group has expanded to include grandchildren. We won’t go anywhere else.

Classic Northwoods experience
Alderwood resort has only four cabins. Each one is unique. Our family has been fortunate to stay in each one over the years . Each has its personal touch’s and feel. Always well maintained and cleanliness appears to be a top priority.
On our most recent visit, we enjoyed the Beachview. Wonderful experience and a Zero walkout to the lake. Thank you Bartlings for another special visit.

Alderwood is a beautiful resort.
Alderwood Resort is in a beautiful setting. It's a quiet place in the woods that promotes relaxation. The lake views are amazing. The fishing on the lake and even off the docks was very good. The grounds and cabins are well maintained. It was fun to bird watch around the cabins. The red headed woodpeckers were flitting from tree to tree which was a special treat for me. The individual docks are a bonus. The cabins are decorated nicely with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen is well stocked with necessary dishes and pans for those who want to cook. We had a great vacation in the Beachview cabin.

Always an enjoyable stay in the Beachview Cabin on Alder Lake
We have a small group of four families that have been renting the three Alderwood Resort cabins during the same week every summer since 1996. The owners have always taken very good care of us, and we've all been very happy with our vacations there. Many wonderful family memories for us and our kids, now starting anew with grandkids. Cabins are always clean and well maintained. Amenities like grill, rowboat/kayaks, equipped kitchen, firewood, even a covered boat slip, all make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. I'm pretty sure we'll continue this thirty-year tradition for another thirty years. :-)

Beautiful cabin and resort!
Loved the cabin and the resort. We decided to take a quick 2 night get away and stayed in the Lakeside cabin. It was wonderful. Beautiful view of the lake with lots of windows to enjoy the view and hear the loons calling at night. Campfire wood was supplied and canoes, kyaks and row boats were available for guests. The morning of our checkout there was a torrential downpour of rain - Becca, the host, actually texted us to say we were welcome to stay past checkout time until the rain stopped. Very impressive. We could not have been happier with our stay and definitely hope to stay here again!
The Bartlings never disappoint. We have stayed at Alderwood 8 different times throughout the last 15 years. All of the cabins are as described and each one unique and delightful. Alderwood has that quaint and cozy magic. The grounds are impeccably clean as well as the cabins. We have stayed at 3 of the 4 cabins including the lodge. For the last 7 years we stayed at other properties in MW, but returned this year to Alderwood because you now allow our dogs to vacation with us at the Beachview. The updates to the property and cabins are great. Thank you Becca for your hospitality and carrying on the tradition.

Wonderful time!
We did not get the chance to use any of the available water equipment at the cabin, it was pretty early in the season and the water was pretty low around all of the docks. We still had a great time. The cabin was well kept and very clean. We felt welcome and comfortable. The fire pit was great and we certainly did spend time on the dock, enjoying the beautiful sunrise. Our two dogs enjoyed all the outdoor space too.

Property was just as described plus some! Was also very clean and well maintained!
We booked the beach view cabin for a musky tournament on the Manitowish chain! Even though the weather did not cooperate with us we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and well maintained along with the property over all. The boat shelter was Great due to all the rain we got while we were there and getting the boat out of the elements was a huge plus! We will be looking to come back soon!
