Campbell James Cabin & Bunkhouse on the Snowmobile & ATV Trails
10/10 Excellent
"This cabin is a wonderfully quiet, secluded, beautiful nature getaway!!! Very clean and well-cared for. Well-stocked kitchen, so you can cook anything. Lovely bathroom, master bedroom and excellent plumbing/water. Shower is awesome. Perfect WiFi and streaming. The ORV trails are extensive, and right off the back yard- also across the road. Our dog and I loved our many long walks, so peaceful and scenic. Jon and Cathy are very nice hosts, thank you both so much for everything! "

"I still consider this a 5 star stay but there are some things I think would be helpful for future guests. 1) There is no place to put anything. No dressers, nor usable closets, no space in the bathroom for anything. You will live out of your suitcase and because there is no room for that either, you will have to get everything put away each time you use it. 2) similar to the above, because the kitchen is well stocked with basic essentials, there is nowhere to put food away. We stayed a full week and either had to store things in the fridge (which is large and very clean) or on the counter. So we had no counter space to work with all week.3) it was very hard to find the property. Our GPS apps did not understand where this was. What would have been very helpful to know is that they have a Totem pole (best description I can offer) at the end of the driveway so look for that. 4) The shower is small. I’m talking tiny. You can’t put your hands over your head or turn around in this thing. Ladies if you want to shave your legs on vacation, think again!Other than those things, this is a nice little cabin. It’s just small so be prepared. Staying a week with 3 adults and a 12 year old was tough. But it’s very clean, well stocked with basics. The porch is lovely, as is the dock. The host was very responsive and the area is quiet but not too isolated. "
"The Seney cabin exceeded our expectations! The cabin was spotless, and the cabin is actually better than the pictures online, which is a rare treat. The location was perfect for day trips to Pictured Rocks, Suit Saint Marie, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Mackinac Island. We were able to enjoy birding on the property too. The kitchen is a highpoint. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable as we all slept great in comfort! It was our first stay at Seney Cabin but we hope to stay again and highly recommend this property. "
Stone House: Fall Foliage & Tranquility on East Lake Perfect for Family & Friends

"Stayed here with family last week. 5 of us and 2 dogs. There is plenty of room yo gather and room for a little privacy when needed. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked most of our meals. There is coffee stocked and it was excelkten. The firepit area is really beautiful and relaxing; great new outdoor furniture. We didn't get to use the boat but may next time! (It was windy.) Easy, relaxing, unstressed fun vacation. "

"This was our 2nd stay at the cabin (also in 2023) and everything was as expected. The only change was bringing your own bedding and also cleaning up at then end for the next party that’s checking in. That was easy as all the cleaning supplies are there for use at the cabin. We enjoyed all the amenities provided, i.e. canoe & rowboat (both with paddles), the gas grill on the screened porch, washer & dryer (detergent included) as well as the kitchen that has all the pots, pans & cooking utensils. There’s plenty of area to explore around via trails by walking or biking (we brought our bikes) or just hanging out on the lake. Prepare to see and hear lots of wildlife. We witnessed and/or heard just about something different every day and night. You can easily take a short trip up to Grand Marais and check out the beach to search for rocks (there’s lots of them). Or if you run out of supplies, you can head down to Seney or even Germfask to restock. We thoroughly enjoyed the sense of solitude and peace & quiet the area provides but yet you’re not too far away to make a short trip into town. We’re looking forward to a return trip in the future. "
