Make yourself at home at new Camp Smokey, located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Spacious single wide on 5 acres is under new ownership (formerly Camp OSO). Less than 5 minutes to Tippy Dam, Red Bridge and Manistee River access! The North Country Trail and Manistee River trails are 5 minutes away. Blue Ribbon trout streams nearby (such as Peterson Creek) as well as Tippy Dam backwaters. Sportsmen/sportswomen friendly. In the heart of outdoor recreation, you will be minutes from not only world-class fishing, but hiking, biking, tubing, kayaking, rafting, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and state and national forest lands for hunting. Minutes from Manistee and Traverse City and Sleep Bear Dunes. The casino, golf and ski resorts are only 20 minutes away. Restaurants and stores close by. Not far off of Coates Highway in Brethren, Michigan. Walking distance to state land.
This 2 bedroom, one bath offers room to sleep 4-6 comfortably, but can sleep up to 8. One queen size log bed, one full and 2 twin beds, along with a full pull-out sofa sleeper. Fully equipped with a full kitchen, laundry, fire pit and plenty of parking for your ATV’s and boats. Smart TV (many channels) and WIFI provided, along with many amenities. Recreational maps and information available for your use.
We feel your pet is a part of your family – well behaved animals are welcome at no additional cost.

Wonderful stay very near to Tippy Dam.
The property was very nice. Plenty of room for the friend to stay during our fishing trip. Super quiet area with no traffic. There was a nice campfire area with chairs that we enjoyed. Our host was very nice. We had a great time there and would stay again.

Family Reunion Stay
The property was clean but a little dated. The only issue that we experienced was the electronic door lock battery needing to be replaced. But that was taken care of the next day. Well equipped with commodities like: soaps, cleaning agents, laundry detergents, toiletries, etc.

We enjoyed our stay, nothing fancy but comfortable and convenient to Manistee National Forest, Tippy Dam, biking, hiking and swimming! We felt welcomed with snacks and tolerance of our extended family -(i.e our mini golden doodle dogs!)
