A tranquil place to stay is a frenetic city.
I have been using the Casa Nicarosa for many years now. The standard of service remains great; courteous, kind, helpful and understanding. This is a quiet, off-road hotel suited to the teaveller look8ng for a redtful lace to stay at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Casa Nicarosa.

Reasonable hotel
The staff were incompetent when it came to confirming my requests for a second night (by email and in person). They repeatedly failed to confirm the booking and in the end asked why I hadn't checked out? So I did check out to another hotel. The level of English fluency was poor which was probably half the problem. The room was pretty basic and not nearly as nice as the foyer.

Hello! We are sorry for the comment you gave us. We allowed you to stay another night as what I replied to your request. However, you told me that you have problem with your card and cant cash out from your card. I suggested you to just book your additional night to Expedia since you can not pay in cash. We waited for your reservation for your extension the next day but then you did not booked online. We as employees are just following the hotel policy for non paying guest. We are sorry if this thing had happened. Thank you,

MY STAY AT CASA NICAROSA
My stay at CASA was wonderful.. Its value for money and you get what you expect. Staff behave professionally and helpful in all situations. The place is amazing for a nice hideout. Quiet, cool, cleanliness, house keeping whenever you request, nice showers and toiletries provided.

as always we feel at home. but serious issue with wifi not working. staff was not up to participate manager was on leave owner not present either. cats away the mice will play.

Quiet, secure, well maintained economy hotel.
Check in was smooth and easy. Room was clean, large and comfortable. Shower's Hot water temperature was tricky to set in this room. Hotel is set back from the street, down a long, wide, gated alleyway; big enough for a car to drive up to the hotel. Alleyway Gate is closed at night, and will be opened for guests by a security guard. Hotel is walking distance to large Robinson's Malate Mall, Harrison Plaza Mall, Casino at New World Hotel, KTV bars, Cowboy grill and other nightlife.

If you're looking for a good and stable wifi connection, this ain't it! And, IF you are lucky enough to even get a wifi connection, it is VERY slow! So good luck to you! The place is run down and old and looks like it hasn't been upgraded in the last 25 or more years! Staff was nice thou

Lovely art deco hotel tucked away - though I bet the owner wasn't happy when they plonked a modern building right in front of it (a backhander tothe planning dept there no doubt). Spacious room.Old style. No restaurant but then hotel food is usually rubbish. Good wifi. Quiet. Close to amenuties. Not your ususl same as everywhere else styling.

Rude lady owner
The owner happened to be there during my stay and.displayed arrogance towards me. I chose "with breakfast" on your site, but was informed that there is no breakfast included on my booking. one time i asked for hot water for my coffee and was told that the owner doesnt allow it. theres no refrigerator nor telephone inside the room. the worst experience I had with that hotel is the arrogance and unfriendliness of the owner as if I was staying there for free. Guests pay for their stay, that rude owner should be reminded of this

Could easily be a great hotel,, but it's not.
In a nutshell. The hotel has great wasted potential. The place with minimal effort could be a real winner,,, instead it's just another Manila disappointment. Rooms are very spacious. Good location. BUT apparently putting the extra effort to make a nice building into a comfortable hotel is too much too much to ask. 1) while large, the rooms are utterly stark (no decor of any kind). The tile floors with bare walls in cause echoing in your room. 2) bare walls and tile floors give you the feeling of a "cell" not a room, and the SINGLE DIM florescent light in each room puts out a green cast that after five days truly made me feel like I was in a movie mental hospital. 3) Door in first room (made them change me), had no working lock on the back "balcony" door,, so anyone could easily get in from the neighbors roof (only feet away). 4) They claim "cable TV".. but even once fixed (it was out for 3 days) there were only 2-3 English channels. Yes, I realize that I"m in PH,,, but they need to realize that most of their patrons are not PH.. so don't advertise cable tv when it's clearly the cable basic plan for locals. 5) A single paper thin sheet provided on the bed. 6) it has a "kitchen"... this could be a HUGE bonus for the place,,, but instead of providing plates, utinciles, a counter burner, a microwave or anything at all.. There is nothing,,, so why even have a kitchen that is nothing but a sink and counter with bare cupboard? What is the point.

I was so disappointed selecting this hotel.
I was so disappointed selecting this Hotel. First of all I arrived at around 11PM 7th of July 2016. When i ask the reception regarding my booking she said they coundn't found my name but infact, I was booked and paid on 17th June 2016. Unlike with the other hotels i stay with, i just mention my name and directly they will assist me to my room. After a long discussion with the reception, finally they got my name haii. As i stay inside the room, i am unhappy because i request a two beds 1 for my son and the other is for us. But they gave us a 1 queen bed size. If i didn't us for a bath tower they didn't gave. Also the blancket they gave is like a curtain type hahaha i was really dis appointed but no choice because i already paid. But in my overall rate, I will not going to stay in this hotel once again and i will not recommend this hotel anyone of my friends. But i recommend that they should improve all the facilities in the hotels since they have a facilities management.

I booked this hotel because it advertised it had wifi in the room. It would have if the wifi signal reached my room. It did not. Also, my cell phone signal was not good there so I couldn't even use the Internet on my phone. The room was ok...nothing special, but not bad. Hotel was near the Manila zoo, but seemed like a sketchy street that was not very well-lit.

It was good, but hotel doesn't help out when you need to make a change in reservation close to your stay. They charged me for one night even though my flight came in a day later, so I moved to another hotel and business was lost to the hotel. Very nice staff very friendly.

Hotel is remarkable for good accommodation and friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing ambiance as you enter the hotel. We were surprised upon check in that they upgraded our room accommodation to a suite room... We had a nice stay here. Surely, we will be back here.

Malate Slums!
A very bad experience for my first few nights in Manila. Malate is a poor choice, even for the budget minded, Yes it is the Red Light District with sex bars, postitutes, beggars, including very young children. Casa Nicarosa is right in the middle of this and not a great place to walk at any time of the day. The outside of the building to be in ruins - rooms are a bit of an improvement. I found the restaurants nearby to be just as dirty and spent most of my time in the nearby Robinson's Mall. A safe bet for restaurants, shopping and currency exchange. Price was not that cheap for the condition of this

It was good. The room is pretty clean ill say what you pay is what you get. The staff are good and very helpful we will stay here again. The only thing i don't like they don't have telephone inside the room and no ref (but you can add 100₱) then no free hot water Over all good stay..

Management is the Big Problem: The Od Lady!
The problem with this hotel is the Manager, the old lady who talked to people as if they were children. She has no customer service skills, and is asinine as well as degrading. This lady n my opinion is unfit to own a hotel that caters to human beings. She is without question the worse. I am a Medical Doctor and I know that the way you talk to people matters. I would urge other foreigners to not patronize this establishment.

I always like staying at this Hotel. It is clean, decent sized and has wonderful service. Which is hard to find in Manila unless you pay a fortune.
