An Updated, Secluded family friendly home with Fast Wifi

Welcome to 'No Place Like Home'. This is not just a place to stay- it's a true get-away!

With no other homes in sight, trees-a-plenty, lake view and windows galore, this home will put you at ease. The house is recently remodeled, giving you the modern farmhouse feel. Large living areas and plenty of bedrooms make this a comfortable gathering place for up to 10!

You will notice the beautiful details right as you walk up to the home. Everything from a limestone sidewalk, to live edge bench, awesome beams in the oversized living room, and quartz countertops in the kitchen! This home is very comfortable as well. Lazy boy couches, with USB chargers and auto recliners, swivel rockers, Roku TV, large dining room that includes a beverage bar, fully stocked kitchen (kiddo stuff too) with eating bar and accessible laundry area all on the main level!

The main floor master bedroom has a king-sized bed, black-out curtains, and attached bathroom. Up the short staircase is the nursery and twin-bed equipped room. Once again, there are black out curtains so your littles can sleep! Next, you will come across the beautiful, well-lit office with a large desk, small sink for projects, and kiddo art area among all the windows. The queen master is on the upper level with attached bathroom. Lastly, the bunk room is an oversized place with twin bunk beds, a twin loft bed, and a queen-sized bed. This room is also a rec area with kiddo books, toys, and a Roku TV. All bedding is new and we have plenty of pillows and blankets to make it a great night’s sleep.

The outdoors doesn't disappoint either. An oversized deck is just off the kitchen and dining room complete with a 6-top table and Weber grill. There is plenty of other built-in seating around the deck with small table tops as well. Now with a great lake view that can be seen from the deck and living room windows. Once again – this is all in complete privacy thanks to the amazing trees all around. There is even a little cabin and playset just off the deck for kiddos to play in!

The 15-minute drive from Manhattan will feel like a breeze as you take in the amazing views of the Flint Hills and Tuttle Creek Lake. The road is well maintained and paved with just the last 80 yards being gravel as you pull into the property’s dead-end road.

Did I mention the exceptional parking (up to 10), two Roku TVs, and fast Wi-Fi (Starlink)?

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed the views! The house was cozy and comfy. The open space was great for my son and husband to throw the baseball. Great spot for our wkd getaway with our family. The communication with the host was exceptional.

Gorgeous area just outside of town!

We loved our stay here! Enough room for two families to spread out and so many things for the kids to explore. My beds were comfy, and everything was cleaned and fully stocked. A great place to stay for a Manhattan area weekend!

Relaxing Stay

Nestled in trees, quiet, peaceful area. Loved the hammocks under the trees! The lake can be seen through the trees, but no close access to the water. Kitchen had everything needed. Plenty of clean towels & paper goods. Bedding was clean and comfy. Enjoyed all the windows and the view. It was enjoyable to on the deck. Great weekend stay with girlfriends!

Great large family getaway

We really enjoyed our weekend at this beautiful home. There were plenty of comfortable beds and two well stocked bathrooms. The entertainment space was great for a small graduation party we had for our daughter. It is the perfect spot for a larger family.

Perfect Planning Place

The offerings in this beautiful home were perfect for our needs of seclusion and ability to maintain a constant working space for a leadership retreat. The aesthetics of the house were warm and inviting. Just wish we had more time to explore the grounds, but the views from inside were stunning. This is a must stay for future retreats.

Our stay at Summer’s property was perfect for our trip. A small hiccup with the fans and lights not working in one bedroom was our only issue but communication with summer was prompt and helpful. Otherwise everything was great!

Spring Break trip

This house and property were great for our family to get away for a Spring Break trip. There was plenty of room to relax and play. The location was peaceful, and we enjoyed watching the birds, turkeys, and deer. The kids especially loved the art room and the bunkbed room. The host was very kind and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Overall, great trip!

Exactly as Expected

Very well appointed with plenty of space for everyone. We very much enjoyed the exterior beauty of the home and experienced the wildlife that roamed the property. Nightly visits from the bard owl was amazing!

Lovely, secluded property

We enjoyed our stay so much. The property has a beautiful view of Tuttle Creek Lake, but it is quiet and serene. We never heard any of the neighbors. And it was a short drive into Manhattan. The house was perfect for our stay with a lot of room for all that we did. And the Wizard of Oz touches really added to our stay!

Great time

We had a group of six adults for a 2-night retreat. The property owners were very easy to work with and very responsive to our request for an earlier check in time. The property is located in a very quiet area with a great view of the lake. The owners had the house well stocked with just about every amenity you could imagine. We enjoyed the large dining room table where we could all gather and there was plenty of comfortable seating to watch tv and talk. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay!

Weekend Stay

Our family enjoyed staying here. We were in Manhattan to attend our son's graduation. We had plenty of space and spent most of our time outside on the deck. The house was welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook and grill our meals. Summer was easy to communicate with and flexible with us on check in. We hope to stay again.

Private and Peaceful

My husband and I came to town to visit my son. We enjoyed our stay. Very private and peaceful. We loved watching the deer and squirrels and went on several walks. Wished we would have stayed when the weather was warmer. The house had everything we needed and Summer was cery responsive. It took about 15 minutes to get to nearby restaurants and stores.

Great place for a gathering with friends when visiting Manhattan

Our group of 8 K-State alumni for a "guys weekend" had a great time at this place. The drive into Manhattan was quick and easy for re-visiting some of our favorite places around campus, but this place is nice and secluded out by Tuttle Creek Lake. There isn't any direct access to the lake from the property, but the view of it is spectacular. The layout of the house worked well for our group as we could gather in the main room to watch football without disturbing people who wanted to rest or sleep in the bedrooms. The space outside is great and we would love it even more once the outdoor fire-pit is completed. That would have been perfect for a brisk fall day.

Everything we needed was provided. Clean and full of amenities. Loved the book on the fireplace that showed how a tiny house grew to this lovely space. Would be great for kids. Only thing that would’ve helped is trash bags or knowing where they were, as we like to be tidy. Thanks, Summer

Peaceful and Relaxing

If you want to get away, unwind, and relax, then this is your place. What a slice of heaven. The house has everything you could want and the hostess is amazing. She is very responsive and detailed. We found the entire experience to be stress free and perfectly managed. And if you can work remotely, this place is fantastic for changing up your scenery while still allowing you to be productive. My husband loved the dedicated office space! We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the peace and quiet so much. And only 15 min or so into town for a night out was really convenient. Who could ask for more?

Great for kids

We traveled with 2 couples and 4 kids aged 11 months-5 years. The layout was perfect. The living room was far enough away from the room with the crib and twin (where 2 kids slept) and the bunk room (where the 2 other kids slept) that they weren’t disturbed by the adults staying up to watch tv. The kitchen had plenty of kids plates, cups, and utensils, and everything we needed to make a few meals for the group. The art area was well stocked and sweet, and the kids loved the play set. Though there were quite a few spiders outside, there weren’t any inside. Unfortunately, we all had a few ticks after walking on the trail, so I highly recommend using bug spray and checking yourself after being outside. We saw a flock of turkeys and quite a few hummingbirds. It was such a serene stay, and our families loved it.

Quiet time in nature

I stayed here with 6 friends to relax and get away. We enjoyed the seclusion of the yard, listening to birds and other nature, and the total lack of traffic and other human noise. The only downside to the property is the bedrooms are laid out so that they connect one to the other, so if one person leaves their room, they must go through someone else's bedroom. Probably not an issue for a family, but was a little awkward for friends. Also, only one bedroom is accessible without taking stairs. Otherwise, VERY well furnished and lovely place to stay. Convenient to Manhattan if you want to venture back to civilization.

Beautiful and perfect amenities for a family!

The drive though the hills leading up to No Place Like Home was breathtaking! This was the perfect location and comfortable retreat spot while our family was in the area for a wedding at Blue Vista. Everything was as the listing stated, and our family enjoyed every minute. Our seven year old claimed the little twin bed room (felt like sleeping in the plushest of treehouses) and the crib was perfect for all the stuffed animals that made the trip with us! The owners have paid attention to the smallest of details - automatic light in the hallway, exquisite bedding, everything you need in the kitchen, and so much more. Even the checklist on the fridge! We hope to come back some time to sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view. You can tell so much love has gone in to this home, and there was a sweet book on the mantle about the history. I’m sure the original builders would be proud and honored their legacy lives on in this wonderful and cozy home. Thank you!
