Waipoua Lake House is a well-apportioned, recently renovated, light and bright bach in a peaceful location. You can kick back and relax with an easy stroll to the lake / boat ramp, lake front reserve or the local shops.

“We had a great trip to Mangakino, was a bonus that we could bring our furry friend Jack. Tidy fully fenced section and well appointed cute home with everything we need.”

Note that all linen and cleaning is included ($100 per booking).

Aranui Lake House is next door if you need more space - on another listing.

Great Place to stay

The place is exactly as described and quiet. It is an ideal place to stay to go exploring from. Easy drive to Taupo and Rotorua.The host is quick to respond to any questions and is very helpful.

Waikato River Trails base

The Waipoua Lake House worked well for us and 2 young adult children. The bach was comfortable and well equipped, there was also plenty of room for bikes & cars. Communication with Grant was prompt and friendly.

Revamped lovely bach stay near to lake

Really lovely place. Old bach, but all revamped inside and super nice. Easy quick walk to the waterfront. Really lovely quiet place to stay.

Lovely renovations make it a great place to stay

Lots of work has gone it into this place and it shows. Wonderful to have a fully fenced yard for the dogs too. Keen to stay again and maybe bring the family next time.

Lovely place to stay

We had a lovely stay in Mangakino. The house has everything we needed as a family and plenty of toys/games for the kids. Awesome back deck to sit and enjoy the evening on. Lovely and clean too. We would definitely stay again.

Accommodation like new inside, accurate description. Heat pump fab after a hot day riding. Grant was communicative. Great place to be based to explore the Waikato River Trails.

Birthday getaway

A few comments were a little harsh, we found this place perfect and definitely excellent value for money! The renovations done are pretty good, double glazing, new carpet, new kitchen, bathroom and even Netflix. The bed were great and a great layout for a family trip! Summer will be amazing in this house. We had our Dog with us and she met one of the locals which was sooo funny, a little bulldog. Thanks Grant, youve done a great job :-)

We loved our stay

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. Loved the location being so close to the lake.Everything was clean and tidy. There were dog Poos left behind from previous tenants so we cleaned them up. My only suggestion would be to please leave a manual for the oven. Had us totally confused! We were here for a dog Trial in Tokoroa and hesitated about the travel each day but was definitely worth it. Again, many thanks. Maree
