I was pleasantly surprised to see the newly renovated and upgraded property in my hometown! It’s a beautiful, clean space. The rooms boast modern contemporary amenities, I only wish that the mattress was a bit softer! Breakfast was great, staff were excellent, helpful and accommodating! The entrance and exit was an issue due to factors outside of the hotel’s control. However, the security staff was quite patient and assured us that this is temporary and that hotel mgmt. is working a new entrance/exit. We have recommended this hotel to family and friends and we will definitely be back!
The room itself is clean, bathroom needs a little more TLC. Staff were great, the biggest issue I had was the hot water. I had to call the front desk every morning and evening to turn on the back up to get some hot water. I must say they were pretty fast in getting it turned on, except for one night when I returned to the hotel and all the staff that were in charge of that area had left and there was no one to turn it on and so I had to take a cold shower. Also ed was really hard but I was told they had ordered mattress toppers for them since everyone had complained about that. Overall great hotel for the area and I would stay again. Also, breakfast was the bomb, I must say I enjoyed the local breakfast every morning.
We stayed one night while visiting Mandeville and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and felt very secure, which was important to us. Although our stay was short, everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.
We had dinner at the hotel and really enjoyed it. I had the Caesar salad, my husband had the jerk chicken, and we both enjoyed cocktails. The food and service were excellent, and we had no complaints.
Breakfast was geared toward local cuisine, and the staff kindly made an exception for us, which we appreciated. We also noticed the hotel has a fitness center and other amenities that we didn’t have time to use during our overnight stay.
Overall, the staff was welcoming, the property was well maintained, and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Mandeville.
Lovely modern hotel, perfect location, and tasty breakfast. I didn't like that "garden view" was restricted to the ground floor only. Interestingly enough, unless there is a "parking lot" view, there are no other views to be seen because the hotel is smacked in the middle of town.
That aside, I will definitely return.
