"Civenna was a pleasant surprise. High above the crazy busy city of Beligio, we enjoyed wonderful shops, warm, friendly people and numerous hiking trails. We ventured down to Beligio 2 times, visited Melzi Botanical Gardens and took a boat ride to Como. It was crazy busy. We were so happy to return to the quiet, high above the crowds. Thank you Luciana. We loved your place. You had all the comforts of home. "

"The view from our room was exactly as shown. The beautiful lake and mountains! We loved sitting in the evening along the waterfront enjoying the view and a glass of wine and table service. We slept beautifully in our bed and the room had all amenties. A wonderful stay."

"Giuseppe was a terrific host, answering our many questions before and during the trip. Great house on the water! Very comfortable for our group of 8. There were several outdoor seating/dining areas where we spent all our time. Enjoyed a nice swim as well! There are 2 great bedrooms with views and 2 comfortable rooms with no view and a lot of street noise and street lights. Your group will have to draw straws to see who gets the good rooms. (2 twin bedrooms that we didn’t need). The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, plenty of glassware… It did take some planning to figure out how to get to the towns we wanted to visit. The local bus and ferry stop running at 7:50 so you must drive your car into Bellagio to take ferries if you’ll be out in the evening. Get to know the ferry schedule, the C110 bus schedule and parking areas in Bellagio before you come so that you don’t waste time trying to figure out daily itineraries. Also, don’t rent a van if you plan to stay at this home. It would not fit in the driveway. "

"The hotel was exceptionally better than I thought! It is in such a beautiful location surrounded by amazing Mountain View’s and only 1 minute away from lake como beach area behind the property. The hotel itself is a little dated but kept in excellent condition and very clean! Parking is available and the staff were incredibly nice. I would stay in this property again and highly recommend it. "

"The property and staff were fantastic! The limited rooms and the spacious property. Made you feel like you had the villa to yourself. The staff were attentive and all wonderful. The multiple areas to grab food and drinks made it feel like you were in a different property. The boat ride they arrange was the cherry on top. Spectacular. If you have a chance, stay in the Varenna room. A perfect way to get your Lake Como experience on. Overall, one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at. "
