Comfy Cabin
Twisted Cedars Ranch is just a darling place. It is beautifully decorated, clean and cozy. Everything we needed was there. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area. The owners are friendly and they checked to see that we had everything that we needed.

So close to Mesa Verde
We LOVED staying here in this clean, well stocked rental! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals in, and we loved the proximity to Mesa Verde! Comfortable bed, warm flannel sheets for winter weather, and fun watching wildlife out the windows! I do recommend bringing your slippers! The tile floor was cold! ☺️ Thank you to our hosts for a truly restful weekend rental!

This views from this property were amazing! The property felt like an actual guest house, some just do not. The place was well done, very clean and had everything we needed. The homemade bread was a lovely touch and it was amazing! The owners were wonderful. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Cozy, clean and comfy
Twisted Cedars was perfect for my wife and I for our visit to Mesa Verde National Park. Located just 3 miles from the park entrance it couldn't be more convenient. Heather greeted us upon our arrival even though it was late and rainy. The property was clean as a whistle and had everything we needed for our 2 day stay. No detail was overlooked. Kitchen is compact but had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and lunches for the park we even cooked in one night. The bed is super comfy. If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting Mesa Verde this is it.

I was very pleased with the property. It was clean and the hosts responsive to any need. They thought of a lot of details--hanging a flashlight by the door in case you came in late at night and couldn't see the key pad. A medical emergency kit. Eggs and butter in refrigerator in case you didn't have time to shop. I enjoyed their hummingbird feeder outside the door. Very peaceful

A Hidden Gem Near Mesa Verde National Park
This property is truly a hidden gem. It's proximity to Mesa Verde National Park is unmatched but there's so much more. It is very well kept with everything you might need during your stay. The queen bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and the overall accommodations are quite nice. The property has a great view and is very quiet at night. Heather and Chad are delightful hosts and have gone out of their way to add extra little touches to an already great experience.

Great place
The location to the entrance of Mesa Verde NP couldn’t be closer and the home is a great place to stay. Wonderful views and if lucky enough to be there during a thunderstorm it’s Colorado at its finest. Heather does a wonderful job and makes you feel special and welcome. Definitely recommend

Beautiful Colorado stay!
Great host with great communication. Nice property with interesting vegetable gardens and year round growing geodome. Great dark sky at edges of property was mostly cloudy but caught a few Persieds meteors. Stocked a frozen pizza for us for late arrival which we really appreciated. Good AC if you need a break. Would stay here any time!

A Mesa Verdi Wonder
This VRBO home was perfect. The location to Mesa Verdi was great. The home was peaceful and quiet. Comfortable!!! Heather also suggested a wonderful restaurant in Delores which we visited twice and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Heather and Chad.

Mesa Verde get away
This is a lovely guest house with a beautiful view of the mountains. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed in this quiet house near Mesa Verde National Park. We enjoyed the back yard garden, watching the humming birds and getting great tips for things to do from Heather and Chad. We will stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

Amazing Oasis Away from the City
The place was away from the city and the night sky was amazing to view from the window of the bedroom or stepping outside. The hospitality of the hosts was the best I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this property!

Comfortable Mountain Retreat
We loved this place! It was so close to Mesa Verde National Park, but felt so far away from everything nestled as it was in the hills with a gorgeous mountain view. Heather and Chad were friendly and available but unobtrusive. The kitchen was unusually well-stocked, allowing us to cook all our meals in, and we really appreciated the choice of coffee machines so we could use our preferred traditional drip maker for our morning brew. The bed was super comfortable with cozy flannel sheets, what a treat, and an extra cuddly blanket. We are on a long road trip, and this has been our favorite place, so far!

Great Location for Mesa Verde
First impression of the property is very positive. Be advised that it is about 3 miles down a (well maintained) dirt road. Kitchen is well outfitted and we made all our meals there as Mancos is about 11 miles away. Shopped at Albertsons in Durango. Heather was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Maybe it said it in the listing, but there wasn't any shampoo, cream rinse, or shower soap provided in bathroom so you should bring your own. Thankfully, there was a little basket of assorted hotel like toiletries in a small basket in the bedroom closet. It was very quiet and overall a very good experience!

Great location
We stayed 4 nights - within 8 minutes of entering mesa verde. Did the ranger tours (2) and hiked plethogyphe trail (awesome). Ate 2 dinners at our vrbo - all the needed equipment there. Bed was really comfortable. Would be helpful to have alittle more shelf space in the bathroom. Hosts Heather and Chad were very nice. You can see awesome sunsets while eating dinner there!

Pleasant, responsive, helpful hosts! Great location relative to Mesa Verde National Park. Outstanding bakery/cafe and natural food store in nearby Mancos. Loved sitting out front taking in the views and petting the cats and kittens. Loved walking around Durango (lots of nice shops and restaurants) and biking along the river trail, and the drive to Silverton is spectacular!

Quiet, peaceful, and comfortable
The cabin is in a remote location, down about 3 miles of dirt road. While this was inconvenient, it also afforded us a lot of privacy, and was free from much noise. The owners live on the property and were very accommodating, while keeping a distance and respecting our privacy. We would use this cabin again.

Loved everything about our stay
Beautiful location with quiet atmosphere. My daughter loved playing with the kitties. The owners could not have been nicer. Wish I could have stayed longer but we were on a tight schedule. I would definitely recommend this home.

Absolute gem in Mancos
This was an immaculately clean and beautiful guest house. It is just outside Mesa Verde so the location is impeccable and wildly beautiful. Fantastic hosts as well. If you want to visit the Cortez, Mancos, Mesa Verde area, this place is quite perfect.

Clean, cozy and just a couple of miles from the park entrance. Everything was perfect, space seemed brand new. Property was beautiful and well-maintained. Owners were friendly and so kind. Great stay next to Mesa Verde
Wonderful guest house in spread out rural feeling area with houses on acreage. Beautiful views of Mt Hesperus and 10 minutes from entrance to National Park and close to Cortez and Canyons of the Ancients archaeological sites. Hosts very friendly and helpful telling us about local things like a nearby farmer’s market. Spend some time just sitting on the porch enjoying the setting without just running around all the time - it’s so much nicer than a motel.

Visiting in Mancos for our daughter's 50th bday bash, we found Twisted Cedars to be a lovely respite. The cozy unit was relaxing and our hosts were at the ready when we needed anything. We found homemade zucchini nut bread as well as a pizza in the freezer in case we'd arrived late. Sitting outside was a pleasure to see the distant Mesa Verde mountains. Simply lovely...

A gem in Southwest Colorado
Twisted Cedars Ranch is a beautiful property. Quiet and secluded it has a million dollar view of the La Plata mountains and Mt Hesperus. Mesa Verde National Park, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument and Hovenweep National Monument are close enough for day trips. We couldn't have been happier with the guest cottage. Chad and Heather are fine hosts.

What a wonderful location first off! Heather welcomed us as soon as we got there and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a frozen pizza in freezer and eggs and butter in frig in case we didn't bring food. We had deer in the yard, elk on our walk, it is a very peaceful quite place for relaxing and escaping normal life. finally, Chad and Heather were such wonderful hosts. We had great visits and felt right at home. We so can't wait to go back in the fall. Thank you for such a wonderful place!!

BEST PLACE EVER
If you ever want a place to go stay for a quiet get away this is the place.. What was SO SPECIAL? The thoughfullness of the host's. There was a beautiful hand made loaf of bread to greet me. The most awesome collection of coffee to choose from and these dear people even had a little breakfast food in refrigerator and a pizza in freezer. I had planned on touring around, but didn't "feel" the greatest so ending up just staying in most my trip and this was the perfect place for me. I was able to build me a nice fire in the wood stove and just rest! I would recommend anyone to stay here. Maybe next trip I can bring my two little granddaughters who would love it.
