Great Place to Gather
Spent a long weekend with close family. House has everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen and main floor layout. Perfect location with basketball court across street and playground for the little ones. Walking distance to town and beach. Would definitely come back!

Great house and location
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The were 9 of us, including my 3 grandsons. The house was in a very nice neighborhood and Manasquan is a cute town. The house was very spacious. The newly renovated main floor, kitchen,den and dining room was very nice. We did have trouble figuring out the oven and there was no power hooked to the microwave. If we stayed longer I would have asked the owner how we could have fixed that. In other reviews I noticed comments were made it was difficult to communicate with the host. I didn’t find that to be the case. Across the street in front of the house is a very nice basketball court. My grandsons loved it! All in all it was a positive experience. Oh, we had trouble with turning the lights on in the 3rd floor bedrooms and the media room. Again, if we were staying longer I would have adressed this with the host. We enjoyed our stay in this very nice house.

The house is nicely deceiving. The kitchen updates are beautiful, however through the house various things are outdated and not working. Some safety concerns were noted (missing stair railing and outlet not covered) which is concerning as I have a 10 month old and 3 year old. Additionally the house was not clean - hair balls were found in the made beds and upon arrival dirty towels were found in the washing machine (not run and no laundry soap). Additionally there were various holes in the walls and lights did not work. For the price of the house, the conditions do not align.

Nice house, not so good communication
The good - very nice house in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood. Clean, plenty of extra linens, appliances and TVs worked. Wi-Fi was good once we had the correct info. The no so good - communication from the owner was almost non existent. No message when I booked the property, no check in or check out instructions. Had to prompt him on day of check in for door lock code. Couldn't find Wi-Fi info (owner did tell me how to find it on the router). Informed him we were leaving a day early, no reply to that message. Bottom line is that I would definitely stay in that house again but need a little more responsiveness from the owner.

Fantastic Wedding weekend

Sad to say but it is not always location location. We were greeted by trash in the kitchen cans. A back storm door with the latch falling off. Dirty & stained cushions on all chairs in kitchenette and dinning room. A downstairs toilet that rocked back and forth when sitting down and getting up. Downstairs shower handle came off in my sons hand. Dirty uptake vents with mold kitchen and bathroom ceilings. Standing water in tub approximately 3 inches in shared bathroom second floor. Front storm door difficult to open due to coming off the hinges. Mostly no screens on the windows. My son had blood on his sheets. Dirty sponge on kitchen sink and greasy pans when you just pulled them out to use them. No directions on how to use TV's. None of the remotes worked. Internet down and the message was the bill needed to be paid. I could go on and on. Prior to renting I had seen one bad review and I asked the owner about that. I was told these people were not very good people and they had other problems. In fact the owner was so convinced that I would love his place that he said in his own words in writing. "I promise you will be more than Impressed! I offer you a full refund if you didn't love it" I asked the owner for a just compensation for the property's condition and the owner gave me half my cleaning fee of 75 dollars. All I can say is renter beware this home is not as promised. The location is very good. The owners response was prompt. However the owner does not keep his Promise. I would not rent this property again. The condition is not as advertised.

No heat for 1.5 days; storm doors off hinges; no washcloths or dish towels; missing window screens; fireplace didn't work; movie room didn't work; movie room chairs in poor condition; movie room lights didn't work; hole in bedroom door and few of the walls; clocks didn't work; vents and fans were very dirty. Finally, there was no set of instructions for the operation of lights, movie room equip.; TV, fireplace, appliances etc. For the reasons stated above, we are requesting a partial refund. The house itself was lovely, had large rooms and was well appointed. It's in a great neighborhood and close to the beach. It just needs TLC

This guest called me when they arrived and let me know the thermostat was not on. It was after 5pm on Monday. I had someone put the next day and it was fixed. I offered a free night stay becaUse of it and they said ok. I gave them an offer for a partial refund and they haven’t responded. The storm door was not off but the screw Ada were stripped and I had it removed and a new one is on its way.. the lights DO work in the movie room but you have ot know where the switches are. They people did not call or contact me the entire stay. Wrote complete lies about some of the home.. I went myself today and there is no dust or anything of what she references. Also it’s a TV and they are all smart tv’s. We do not have instructions on how they work. It’s on button and home button to bring up all the apps everyone uses these days. Sorry we didn’t have an analogy vcr for your old home movies. The house is large all updated and all the TVs and movie room tvs work. If someone would have contacted me at all I would have been happy to help. Also we have plenty of dish towels, wash clothes, and towels.

I had a quick last minute request due to hurricane ian rearranging some flights and the host was super kind and accommodating to us- even had a brief telephone call- very considerate! The house was large and spacious, just a 10 minute walk from the beach. It had many amenities and cool features. Perfect for a large gathering of friends and family. The downside to all of the features was that it was sometimes confusing which switch turned on certain lights, operate the in wall speakers, fireplaces, the home theater, and out door lights around the fire pit. It would have been nice to have a laminated sheet of directions on how to operate the above mentioned items. It also appeared that some of the light switches were finicky or didn't seem operate properly. Overall we had a great time and were very happy with the space. P.s. the wireless internet was a bit spotty at times, so if you plan to work remotely while on vacation, it may be prudent to bring a mobile hot spot.

Perfect location with a carnival just for us!
This house was perfect for our family reunion. Six adults, two teens, and two under seven. TV’s in all rooms, theatre room, wonderful kitchen, and all beach gear and bikes. Playground next door and park with basketball court across the street. The week we were there a carnival with rides was across the street! Beach a seven minute walk. Nick was a wonderful host. Big roomy house….easy to separate or come together. House requires some tech savvy…..but Nick easily reached by text.

This is the perfect home for an extended family gathering. The house is very spacious. There were numerous places for our multiple families in the extended family to gather and make memories. The neighborhood is so nice. There is a really nice basketball court right across the street. We had young children in our group and down the block there is a fantastic playground that they loved. The home was extremely child-friendly. The house is in a pretty residential area, but it’s a short 8-minute walk to the beach in one direction and the downtown area in the other direction. There were at least a dozen good restaurant choices and more than that if you were willing to drive. The house was well stocked with typical supplies like soap, paper towels, coffee filters, etc. There were plenty of clean towels in the laundry room. The entire house was very clean and comfortable. We had excellent communication with the owner as he helped us with several requests. The layout of the home was perfect for an extended family bonding trip. The location was perfect as well since there were a number of fun excursions options, but everything you needed for dialogue and bonding were tight in the house and in the surrounding area.. We look forward to our next visit.

Stayed here for a local wedding. Loved the location, vista from the porch, distance to beach, availability of chairs and bikes. House did not have any paper products, trash bags, laundry detergent etc, you have to make your own beds upon arrival from a pile of linen in the laundry room, I wouldnt call it dirty but I wouldnt call it really clean either, flower beds were not well maintained. The grill is a charcoal weber. The basketball area across the street was fun to have but also ended up being an early morning gym for loud pick up teams.

National Team Mini Camp
Nick was a terrific host who was quick to answer any questions I had both prior to and after check in. The house is great! Located across the street from the water as well as a beautiful park and a 3 min walk to the beach. The house fit comfortably 12 athletes and two coaches and was the perfect destination for our mini camp. Highly recommend!

1) FALSE ADVERTISING: This property DOES NOT have three king suites; it has one king suite and two king bedrooms. 2) LACK OF CLEANLINESS: A thorough cleaning is necessary for the oven, toaster-over, shelving, spaces beneath the kitchen sink and the bathroom sinks, dining room chairs, and kitchen bench-seat cushions. Bath mat in the bathroom shared by the two king bedrooms was moldy. Theater chairs are a mess. 3) COOKWARE UNUSEABLE: Interior coatings of the pots and pans are severely scratched, scraped, and gouged. We purchased cookware to use. 4) OWNER DID NOT PROVIDE OFFERED DISCOUNT: Our initial dates were March 10 to March 13. The owner offered additional days at half price. We added March 9, but received no discount. Owner not respond to our inquiries. 5) OWNER DID NOT PREPARE FOR OUR ARRIVAL: Upon arrival on March 9, FS1 channel was unavailable to us. The owner was unable to rectify until 10 AM on March 10. We missed March 9 games. 6) NO INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED TO USE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT 7) BRING YOUR OWN: No hand towels, wash cloths, nor dish towels; only bath towels. No paper-towels nor any additional toilet paper. 8) BE PREPARED FOR CLOSET AND DRAWER CLUTTER 9) OWNER NOT PROACTIVE AND MAINTENANCE INEFFECTIVE: Electrician spent most of March 10 working on (but not fixing) issues we did not report. We purchased a battery-powered light to make a bathroom useable. 10) OWNER NOT RESPONSIVE IN A TIMELY MANNER: Weeks before our arrival we asked for recommendations for places to eat and shop. The owner did not respond. 11) PURSE MISSING: After the electrician departed on March 10, we noticed that a purse was missing; it could have been confused as a tool bag and mistakenly taken by the electrician. We contacted the owner who assured us the electrician was beyond reproach. On Monday, March 14th (24 hours after we left Manasquan), the owner contacted us by text message to inform us the purse was found inside the property. The only plausible explanation is that the electrician placed the purse in the house after we left on Sunday, March 13th. 12) BOTTOMLINE: The location of the property is great and the property could be amazing if the owner was more engaged and put forth more effort. We will not return.

To anyone reading this review please read this response first These people are mentally ill. This guest has fabricated most of this entire story. This guest arrived to the disappointment of not having a certain channel they wanted on TV and did not reach out before to make any requests like they mention below. We have a basic TV package that didn't have what they wanted but I called the company that night and added the channels he requested. I did have an electrician fixing a light switch that was not working which was a safety hazard and did ask the guest if it was OK to have him fix this. I relieved a call later that day after he left about their purse missing. I called the electrician that has been working with me for 7 years since I have had this house and have never had an issue with him. He is a local Manasquqan contractor that has served around here for years. He was offended I would even ask him but I did because the guest was freaking out. They accused him of stealing the purse and contacted the police. As it turns out my cleaner ended up finding the purse the next day when they left. I had it brought immediately to the police and alerted the guest. When I alerted the guest they were hostile and aggressive about it being found. They thought my handyman snuck into the house when they weren't there and put it there for my cleaner to find. Now I just want you to think about that... This guest never once said anything about any of these comments below about cleaning and missing items until now. We actually have all the items listed missing in a certain closet that was labeled but they must have missed that. I have owned this house for 7 years and I have NEVER came across guests that acted the way these people did. I make sure to treat people how I would want to be treated and these people were brought up a different way. If you have any questions about any of the issues you see posted in this unfair and untrue review please let me know.

Attention to details goes a long way
The house is as nice as it looks on the site. Open Floorplan downstairs. Movie room would have been nice had it worked. We reached out to Nick but no response. The cable was off when we got there and we needed assistance with the TV in the living room. Only basic channels available. The fireplaces did not work, we had to make up all of the beds, we had to find towels and there was not a single washcloth anywhere to be found. There was no dish soap to hand wash dishes, NO TOILET PAPER or HAND SOAP in any of the bathrooms! We had to go out and buy toilet tissue, hand soap, washcloths, and dish soap! After a long day and drive down it sucked to have to go back out to get those things and have to come in and make up the beds! We couldn't enjoy the movie room, plus there were so many light switches in the house, and when you clicked them they appeared to do nothing (that was just annoying LOL). The fridge and stove were both pretty gross, and there were no instructions for checking in and out (do we take the sheets off, or leave them on, what to do with recycling, garbage, TV instructions, fire place instructions, etc). Also, perhaps you should consider a no pet policy, or really clean it well between guests with pets because my group members had some allergies when they sat on the sofa. The master bedroom definitely needs more lighting and the door to that balcony doesn't lock. The chairs in the movie room can stand to be updated and it only seats 4. Small details will step it up a bit more and make a person truly feel as though it is a home away from home.

Gorgeous, amazing house in a beautiful area
This house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. We stayed here for a family wedding and had an amazing time. The neighborhood is lovely and the balcony’s have a nice view of the water. All of the beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were exactly as shown on here. I would highly recommend this house! The host, Nick, was very accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will have fond memories of our stay here.

Lovely house with a very responsive owner!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Nick was very generous and communicative, which enhanced our experience. The property is as pictured and is beautifully decorated and spacious. The neighborhood is family friendly with a basketball court, baseball field and playground within walking distance. I would recommend future guests travel with extra washcloths, toilet paper, paper towel and hand soap in case there’s an oversight and those items are not provided during the stay. Otherwise, it’s a lovely house, in a lovely neighborhood overlooking the water with a very responsive owner. You can’t beat that and we will definitely be back!

Post wedding beach weekend
We rented this house as a place to stay with out of town family and friends after our wedding and it did not disappoint. The house is big and beautiful and an easy walk to the beach. Plenty of space for a group and all of the amenities you would need. It helped make the most special day turn into the most special weekend. We hope to rent it again.

Great location for relaxing on the porch
The house was well equipped and spacious. We were in town for a family wedding. Our group consisted of 8 adults, 2 children (6 and 2 years old) and 2 small dogs. Having the park across the street and the playground just a few houses away was great. The NJ Transit Manasquan train station, the beach, shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance from the house. We also enjoyed the beach bikes. Lots of great amenities with this house! Towels and bed linens were included which was nice, although a bit disorganized. Everything was randomly piled on top of the washer and dryer, but we just dug into the piles and figured out what was what. I'm accustomed to rental properties having clear instructions/expectations for check-in/check-out (e.g., remove all sheets from beds and place in a certain location; remove all trash from the house and place in trash cans; etc.). This house had none which might contribute to some of the disorganization with laundry/linens and place more burden on the cleaning staff. Our only issue with the house revolved around cleanliness. When we arrived on a Wednesday evening there were piles of trash bags and open boxes with trash at the bottom of the back steps (our initial entry point into the house). Trash is collected on Thursday morning so one of the first things we found ourselves doing was to pickup after whoever left that mess! We picked up all of the garbage that belonged to someone else who had stayed at the house before us, placed it into the supplied trash containers and placed them at the curb for collection. Not a great way to start! Inside the house it was evident that the cleaning process was very swift and superficial (e.g., built up dust and dirt in air returns/vents; bathroom floor rugs/mats dirty; hair, dirt and small pieces of trash on the floors along baseboards and under furntiture; the wall in downstairs bathroom appeared that someone had been sick and missed the toilet spewing stuff on the wall...there was also an odor). We were there at the end of (actually after) peak season so maybe we just hit a bad time. The cushions at the kitchen table were filthy. We placed towels on them before letting the children sit on them. Admittedly I'm a bit of a clean freak but with 3 family members suffering with asthma we tend to be a bit sensitive. Others may not be bothered by this, but it definitely made us feel a bit uncomfortable.

Fabulous place!!
Had a wonderful stay at Nick’s house. It was actually way nicer than the photos let on. It was impeccably clean. Nick was very nice to deal with. We rented for the week of my son’s wedding and had our friends stay with us. It was very spacious and comfortable. The location was beautiful. It was a quiet area. We used the outdoor charcoal grill. The house and location were great!
The house and its location Were perfect! We were in town for a wedding in Point Pleasant Beach. It was a short drive. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach when we weren’t busy with wedding activities! The bikes, pack and play, and kids toys were wonderful to use. We hadn’t large group and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There were plenty of bath towels and beach towels. We didn’t realize that there wouldn’t be toilet paper, but it was a short drive to run and grab some. It was a huge plus to be able to wash, dry, and iron clothes!

Amazing Stay
We had an amazing “Ladies Weekend” at this wonderful property. Plenty of space, beautifully decorated and great views. Close to town and beach and in a quiet neighborhood. This house was an A+.

Breath of fresh air
We had the pleasure of staying at Nick's lovely home and feel as though we got the escape we all desperately needed after so many months in quarantine. Nick's beautiful nautically themed home had more than enough room for our family of 10. The home's open downstairs floor plan and spacious kitchen/living/dining spaces allowed space for family meals and game nights. The wonderful gas fireplace gave the entire space an added layer of comfy warmth. The view from the porch of the water/pier was lovely, especially at sunset. The home was well appointed and equipped with everything we needed..ample sheets and towels and a kitchen with many pots, pans and utensils. Nick was very responsive and available to answer any questions that came up during our stay. The surrounding area had lots to do for everyone, even in the "off season". Wonderful experience!

Beautiful house
The house is what I consider my dream house. It's beachy and beautiful. Had my sister in laws 30th birthday and my sons 3rd birthday here and there was plenty of space to decorate and have a nice little party. The owner Nick was amazing and incredibly accommodating.

Perfect house for a Family!
