Really great place, very clean. Nice staff
I really liked my stay at Kekoldi. Staff were sweet, and the beautiful court yards were very relaxing. My one comment is that I wished they’d had ham for breakfast. Otherwise perfect! Lol

Fine for the price
We spent three days in Granada. This hotel is a few blocks from the main square and overall was quite convenient. There were some issues with dirty sheets and scorpions in the room, but the management did make a small adjustment to our costs to compensate. Overall, it was a pleasant little hotel. It was strange being located next to a funeral home though.

A couple of days in Granada
Two adults and two kids (9, 11) stayed at the Kekoldi for two nights. Room had two double/queen size beds which were confortable. Air conditioning worked well, free wifi. Breakfast was simple, gallo pinto, eggs, bread, juice. Swimming pool was small, but good enough for cooling down. Hotel is about four blocks from the main square, neighborhood was safe, and the hotel personnel was very friendly.

Nice hotel close to central Granada
We got a nice stay at this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. They set up a taxi to get us from the airport to the hotel and then from the hotel to our next destination which was very helpful. The staff was also very helpful with any questions we had about restaurants or getting around. When we arrived, check-in was fast and simple. They took us straight to our room. The room was small but adequate. There was our bed, a small alcove with a couple of shelves and a rack to hand clothes, and a large table. The only thing missing was a chair. The bathroom was a little small but clean. Our only problem was that our shower did not drain well so a lot of water pooled in the bottom each time we showered. The AC worked wonderfully and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast each morning was good. They had a mini buffet table set up with cereal, coffee, bread and a toaster with jelly, fresh juice, and gallo pinto every morning. They also served pancakes one morning and scrambled eggs another morning. Our last morning there they did not serve anything as the main course, just gallo pinto which was a little disappointing after the other breakfasts. They have a small pool there which we cooled off in one afternoon. It was clean and in the courtyard which is also nice. The hotel is about 4 blocks from the central park so it is a short walk. However, it is on pretty quiet street that is a little dark at night. We never felt unsafe and walked back in the dark from dinner each night.

Great double rooms. Poor on single rooms.
Good location, about 3 for city center, yet quiet. Nice gardens and breakfast area. The breakfast buffet was good. Staff was extremely accommodating . The double rooms were nice, with built-ins and adequate size bathroom. The single room was awful. It was extremely small with a bathroom about the size you would find on a cruise ship (very small). Would stay there again but definitely not in a single room.

Great for the night!
Hotel staff was wonderful. Incredible helpful in scheduling taxis, recommending restaurants and places to check out, holding my luggage the day I checked out, and even offered to help get a better deal on a massage! The rooms are simple and bare minimum but still comfortable. The rest of the hotel was clean and charming. I would recommend as a cheap option to stay!

Good hotel for a short stay
Clean room, hot showers, comfortable beds. Breakfast was pretty basic but good. Hot coffee served as well. Pool area is very relaxing with swings, tables/chairs, and a hammock. Helped arrange transport to Laguna de Apoyo ($50 round trip for 7) and the airport ($40 for 3 people), which was very well priced. Only problem was with laundry. We were first told it was free, then received a bill. Manager compd it but again at check out was hassled about it. Just be aware they charge for laundry and it is not free. Very satisfied with my stay overall. Would definitely come back.

Great Location & Amenities
Having an excellent breakfast before setting out each day & a pool to cool off in after we returned made the Kekoldi a very comfortable choice for our visit to Granada. Its location, close to the centre of the city, was convenient for accessing restaurants, excursions, & culture. I highly recommend it.

Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay. It is a modest hotel with lovely gardens. The rates match what you receive in amenities. The kids enjoyed the small pool and there were tables on the patio that our large group enjoyed playing UNO. The rooms were clean. We would not hesitate staying there again. It is within walking distance to the Central Plaza.

Hotel was fine, Didn't much care for Granada, Front staff almost insisted I roll rented scooter into Lobby. I listened. The one problem with travel in these parts is that everything will get stolen. I hope I made your day when you got my bungee cord.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of Granada
My husband and I stayed for a week in March 2014. The hotel is located 3 blocks from the Cathedral, close to restaurants, bars, and shopping, so we didn't need a car. The hotel staff arranged for hotel transfers, a taxi to Masaya's Artisan Market, and other locations so we were able to see some of the attractions near Granada. The staff is young and friendly, and they all speak English. Breakfast, Nicaragua style, was included. The hotel itself is Colonial style, and the interior gardens were lovely and a great place to relax.

Wonderful for our Honeymoon!
Beautiful property with many wonderful gardens for relaxing among flowers and song birds. Friendly atmosphere. This is not a luxury hotel, rather, it is comfortable, quaint and clean. A five minute walk to the town square where the action is makes for a convenient, quiet stay. We will be back. The price was a great value.

Fine for one night
The hotel has so much potential..too bad it doesn't quite live up to it. The rooms were adequate but nothing special and the pillows were horrible. The shower had mold and the drain was sluggish with a scum of hair, soap and skin floating to the top of the ankle deep water -- quickly finished and then rewashed my feet. Towels were dingy. The lobby and pool area were lovely. The pool was small but very refreshing. Downside was the lack of comfortable furniture for lounging around the pool, especially after a long day on the road. Breakfast was ordinary but there was a lot of it. Fresh fruit, toast, gallopinto (beans and rice), cereal, juice and coffee. The location was convenient and the price was right. Staff was helpful.

Very friendly staff, very cute hotel
We stayed one night at the Kekoldi on a short trip through Granada. The hotel was clean, our room was tidy, and the AC and pool were cool retreats from the hot city. I would highly recommend the Kekoldi to travelers. It is not the Hilton, but a very authentic Granada experience which is what we were looking for! Enjoy!

Nice and simple.
This is a nice colonial style hotel. The room was very small but the bathroom was OK size. The pool is not big but it is a lot of fun for kids. The garden is cute and relaxing. Breakfast was OK. If you want eggs it's extra $1.5 - $2. The AC worked fine.

A Grenada Gem Not to be Missed
Stayed five nights and the hotel permitted us to enjoy the urban amenities, Poets' Festival, surrounding physical attraction and to walk easily day or night into the center. Could not have asked for more.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms beautiful room
first of all i'd like to thank the front desk staff and the women preparing and serving breakfast, they were all so nice and helpful, for example, the nice gentleman Jose at the front desk gave me his motorcycle parking spot so that i could park mine in a place that he could watch it all night. that was very generous of him. My wife and I stayed 1 full week and were very satisfied. Our dbl bed room was small but very clean and comfortable. The A/C was cold and the shower had hot water which we have found to be rare. The hotel offered a very nice complimentary breakfast which we looked forward to each morning. There was pinto gallo (rice & beans), tasty plantaines freshly cooked, toast, a sweet empanada pastry, hot coffee, a different choice of fresh juice each day, milk, two kinds of cereal, a large bowl of amazing frsh fruit was served to each guest, and there were additional items that could be ordered for a very small charge ie. scrambled eggs. There were plenty of places in the public areas to sit And relax throughout the hotel, there were colorful hammocks set up for our use, also tables and chairs and benches and many beautiful plants and murals to look at. The hotel is in a great location, an easy walk to restaurants and museums and shops. For the price, kekoldi is hard to beat.

Very convenient to all amenities
I booked a double room with 2 queen beds for 2 people..When I arrived we had a third family member with us. I knew we would have to pay an extra fee but when we arrived we were given a double room with one queen bed. We had to pay for a single room the first night for our third family member and got the room I booked the second night with an extra fee. I was most unhappy about this arrangement.

Quiet and safe
We booked and paid for our Queen room in advance and requested a 'room away from traffic and other noisy guests', so we were quite surprised when we arrived to be a given a room opening directly onto the main passageway between the rooms, the pool and the Breakfast area with people going back and forth. As a substitute we were given a very small double room near the front of the hotel. After waiting until the staff member who had checked us in had left for the day, we asked her replacement if there wasn't another room available, closer to the size and price bracket we paid for. Her eyebrows went up and she mumbled something about not understanding why we hadn't been given the 'other big room', before moving us into a much larger room, tucked in a corner away from all the foot and vehicular traffic noise - perfect! The breakfast isn't great, but it is okay if you're just wanting something in your tummy before you head out for a good cup of coffee on the veranda of one of the hotels across from the Parque Central - highly recommended! The pool is a really just a big bathtub, but does the trick to cool you off when it gets really muggy and hot. A little nap in the hammock afterward is a treat with an occasional hummingbird visiting. Having stayed in 3 other hotels in Granada on other trips, we found this to be the best deal so far. We recommend Hotel Kekoldi for couples & other travellers who want a quiet, safe spot away from the main entertainment strip in Granada.

Bad experience..began when we came back at 12 AM and the reception had locked us out so we could not enter the hotel..then the day shift guy took our key home so 45 minutes to get into the room. Once in the AC unit was making a noise that sounded like an airplane taking off...no sleep so we turned it off then it got so hot we could not take it...overall horrible experience!
