Clean, comfortable accommodations. The WiFi worked well, the fireplace made for a cozy setting, the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. I would certainly stay here again. Thank you!
Perfect size, perfect location. Greg was very reachable. Will come again for sure

Property is very dated
While this condo is in a great location and the owner was nice and responsive, the condo is very old and dated. The carpet was really old and dirty feeling. Many lights didn’t work, the heater in one bedroom didn’t work, and the place was very dark. The upstairs loft (not a real bedroom) was bright. The entry is great for putting ski equipment but so old that it stunk pretty badly.

an exhausting, frustrating stay
Our family only had 3 nights and 2 full days to ski. Have stayed in various Canyon Lodge area condos happily for 20+ years. Arrived late w no accurate address, place marginally clean at best, and no heat in daughter's bedroom downstairs. Woke to no working Wifi address, broken coffee maker, some dishes dirty, and property manager explaining circuits couldn't handle heating both downstairs bedrooms. Up 4 times the next night resetting the breaker. Not enough time to pack up and switch condos. Stays in other Chamonix units have been great. This unit is spacious but needs a major cleaning and electrical update.
Great location. Needs updating, but who cares when your skiing all day. Bring wine glasses. None supplied. We left some there last year, but they were gone this year.
I would definitely stay here again. Is it dated? Yes. Is it awesome?! Absolutely! You are steps away from the slopes... So you can't ask for more then that. But honestly, the nostalgia of the townhouse is half the fun.
We are already excited to book again. Thank you Greg! You were incredibly responsive and we loved your home. Thanks for sharing with us!
The place was wonderful. Great location, stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, bowls, pots and pans for all guests. Greg is a wonderful host and responded quickly with answers to our questions. We will stay here again.
The Location is amazing!!!! Greg was also amazing and super easy to contact and receive responses from! We lost our keys in the snow on the slopes and he let us stay a couple hours later till help arrived. The home is slightly outdated but super charming and homey. We walk to and from the mountain all day! Thank you!
The entire experience was great. We enjoyed our stay. We had an issue with a downstairs heater, and we texted Greg and he responded and assisted us with that promptly! We look forward to coming back! Thank you Greg!!
We enjoyed our stay at Greg’s place. Very spacious and most importantly it’s a quick walk away from the ski lifts. Perfect for a group that runs on their own skiing schedule :) you can literally come down and have lunch at home and then go back to ski some more. Loved it! Also, Greg is very responsive in communication which helped a lot. One slight downside is that there is no laundry inside the unit if you are staying longer. Other than that it’s exactly what a family or a group of friends needs for skiing / snowboarding. Thank you for everything.
As the title says its location is amazing - super close to canyon lodge. The house layout and decorations all give the place an amazing vibe. There was never a cold night in the cabin or any rooms, there were heaters for every room. The place was clean and the basics were all provided - toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, dish washer pods, etc.

Mammoth Vacation
Overall we were pleased with this condo. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was great. We had one large issue which was one of the bedrooms had bedbugs so we were unable to use one of the beds and someone had to sleep on the couch. Although that was a big issue, we thought the condo was in a great location just down the street from Canyon; it was roomy and comfortable. Communication with Greg was great until he quit responding. Would I recommend this place to others - yes. Unfortunately things happen; I only wish it had been handled better by management.
Well, first of all it’s gonna be my first bad review for short-term rental home. The location is fantastic: close to all infrastructure, very quiet, great air, condo is quite isolated from others. If it were ski season it would be absolutely incredible home to stay. Pictures of the place are very close to reality, so no complaints here.
Now the bad stuff. First of all, due to Covid-19 time cleanliness is essential, so we were shocked to find the first cup we took dirty (with coffee leftovers on the bottom) and had to wash everything ourselves. Sponge for dishes was previously used that is also very dangerous for spreading germs. We saw couple long black hairs in our bed too. Another important issue was the bed in the loft (second floor bedroom), that had metal parts sticking up to the narrow aisle but not visible because of bed sheets, that caused really bad cuts on legs of two people. Overall the place is okay, but needs some more attention of the owner to make it more suitable for renting. Oh, and bring your knives cause all and every one in the house are dull :)
We stayed for 3 days. We run out of towels and bathroom essentials. We couldn’t get the TV to work. Overall we had a good time.

Great Location, Mediocre Unit, Terrible Property Owner.
We booked and reached out to Greg (the property owner) about a week from arrival. My original request was whether they allowed 1 night bookings, and whether the cleaning fee was negotiable due to their normal 2 night minimums.
Unfortunately, by the time we received an answer back from Greg. There was only one day available to book and the owner accepted the request. We paid all booking, service, and cleaning fees for the one night and were excited to spend 1 day at mammoth bike park.
When I called Greg to confirm the reservation. His response was "Are you going to just trash my house, after a two-week hike". I am not exactly sure where he gathered this information, but his demeanor was extremely rude and uncalled for.
The home has no air conditioning, the upstairs loft (advertised as a bedroom) was hot. The fan in the loft did not work, and even with the balcony window open, it was steamy. The downstairs bedrooms stayed cold.
There is no washer / dryer / hot tub / pool at the unit. It is all in the central club house.
One of the downstairs bathroom showers was not cleaned and had brown slime on the ground. The carpets not vacuumed. Some carpet had stains.
Almost even dish we touched was dirty. The blender has remanence of whatever it was last used for. Two pans still had fried egg remains, 1 pot has red sauce residue and a piece of onion stuck to the walls of the pot. 2 bowls were dirty with who knows what. Spatula that had remains of food on it. It was disgusting.
After we checked out, I contacted Greg, and described everything I wrote above. He thanked me for my input and requested I do not write a bad review. I responded and said that I would like to get my cleaning fee back.
I was told that,
“You would have been hard pressed to accommodate your group at Motel 6 for what you paid Kirill. Let’s be serious here.”
"I had a feeling you were trying to hustle us from the beginning. Pleading for us to make an exception on a one day rental, complaining about the place when I know it was clean and then asking for a credit back. Additionally, you took a large crew in their for one night and took full advantage of the entire place.”
Lastly Greg tried to threaten to blackmail me, so that I don’t leave a negative review by saying.
“Do understand, if you say one negative thing in a review, I will disclose your attempt to hustle us in my review of you for all future hosts to see. Every time you request a booking, it will be there!"
We reported him to VRBO.
Place is dated and could use some tlc. But for the rate you can't beat it. 3 bedroom 3 bath , kitchen and even has access to condo grill/ fitness( we did not use due to cv-19 concerns)
AVOID GREG AT ALL COSTS. We had a terrible experience with him. When we went to check in, there was already another family in the rental - VRBO/Greg had double booked us!! What a nightmare. To make matters worse, neither Greg nor VRBO did anything to help us get it sorted out. We were so lucky to be able to find another rental but that rental was gross and was in a terrible location. Greg was SUPER shady when we tried to get a refund. He kept telling me to cancel the reservation, which would have meant ZERO refund for me. I plan this Mammoth trip with my friend group every year and this whole ordeal totally RUINED our weekend. Greg/VRBO has done nothing to make this right. I'm never using VRBO again. Bye.
We have stayed at the condo many times. Great location for the Village and mountain. Owner is easy to work with and responds to request.
See you again next year!!!
Couldn’t be a better location. Right behind Canyon Lodge, only a few steps to the lifts. The condo itself was pretty dated. And a few things were broken. But the condo was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of space to relax after a day on the slopes. Also very close to the Jacuzzi. Greg was very nice and easy to get in contact with.
Excellent location just three minutes from Canyon lodge. The furnishing is a bit old but useable and reasonable for the price. Greg is an excellent host and respond fast to our questions.
Amazing location. Walking distance to Canyon Lodge. Very cozy. Kitchen is a little small but function. Wish they had wine glasses. Spacious with plenty of beds. The fireplace and lazy boy couch was very nice. Would highly recommend it.
