"We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful little cottage in Micoud. Nestled in the woods and just a short 5–10 minute walk to the beach, the location was peaceful, secluded, and truly stunning. It felt like a hidden gem — the perfect place to disconnect and recharge.The host was incredible — so kind, welcoming, and attentive. She provided clear instructions before arrival, checked in with us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My wife has several chronic illnesses, and the host went above and beyond to make accommodations that would support her health and comfort. We were deeply touched by the care and thoughtfulness she showed throughout our stay.Unfortunately, we did have to cut our trip short for medical reasons and return home early. But our host was extremely understanding and caring to us about the situation and made it that much easier for us through it all. The heat and humidity during this time of year proved too intense for my wife’s condition. That said, this is no fault of the host — just something to keep in mind for travelers who are especially sensitive to warmer climates. A trip later in the year when it’s cooler might have been a better fit for us.All in all, this cottage is a dream — tranquil, beautiful, and hosted by someone who truly cares.
