"This is an awesome cottage! The perfect place to escape the bustle of normal life and immerse yourselves in nature. It’s completely secluded, but not that far off the beaten path, and the view is incredible - well worth the trip down the stairs. Amenities were great and we had everything we needed for a week’s getaway - especially appreciated the beach gear, fully equipped kitchen, and well functioning bathroom (decent water pressure). Highly recommended!"

"The hosts/managers were super helpful and accommodating. The unit is perfect. Fully stocked kitchen, cozy living area, two spacious guest suites downstairs, and of course an amazing outside deck with views of the bay and plenty of seating / lounging options. The pool is small but great for cooling down or staying refreshed. You do need a rental jeep to get around. "

"Fantabulous view/location. Mornings and evenings on the deck, watching the sun come up or a squall pass by, accompanied by the chorus of local animals (birds, goats, chickens and other chirpers and peppers). Nicely removed from the hectic part of the island but still easy access to trails, beaches, and snorkeling - which is what we were there for!"

"Our stay at Calichi was amazing! The view is spectacular. It cannot be beat. The beds are comfortable. Beach chairs, coolers, reef safe sunscreen all supplied for you! Mackenzie is very responsive and helpful. Make sure to get an SUV or Jeep, the drive up the mountain is steep with many switchbacks and hairpin turns. St. John has SO many spectacular beaches and amazing hikes. Plus swimming with sea turtles at about any beach was breathtaking! This was our second time vacationing in St. John. We will be back to the island and the Tower at Calichi!!"

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house is the perfect mix of cozy and well-equipped, with an incredibly comfortable bed that made for great sleep. We spent every morning on the deck with coffee; the sunrise views are breathtaking and make every step of those stairs completely worth it.The property felt like a secluded tropical retreat. We loved the local "neighbors", from wild goats on the road to hermit crabs under the stairs and geckos on the deck. The nighttime sounds of the wildlife were so soothing. A huge thank you to the property managers, Leonarda and Nina, who were kind, helpful, and made us feel right at home. A beautiful stay in a stunning area!"

"We had an amazing time at Eminence on High - the house is beautiful with priceless views! The kitchen is very well appointed with two gathering rooms and a wrap around porch to take in the beauty. Our group of 8 cooked in most nights and it was more beautiful and relaxing than any restaurant. Christine was very friendly and available if we needed anything. We highly recommend Eminence on High and would definitely plan another stay here! "
