"The hotel is definietly not 4*, it's dark, dated and old. The room was clean, but you can see that they only spend money on maintenance if they need to. Cracked sink in the bathroom, with the cheapest handsoap/no shower gel or shampoo provided. No kettle or other tea/coffee making facilities, the minibar is super expensive. The breakfast was very basic, with limited options available after 8 (eventhough it's finishing at 10:30)."

"Gyor is a beautiful city within a 2 hour drive of Budapest. Definitely worth stopping! This hotel was perfect. The only drawback was that there was not lift which was difficult for my 78 year old mother. We managed and were very impressed with the property, the staff and breakfast the following morning. I would definitely come back to this hotel for a future visit. "

"We stayed for 6 nights, first night was in an older stuffy, smoky room but the next morning the staff was very helpful and let us change rooms the rest of the stay was pleasant. Staff was always helpful and friendly."

"The mattress was too saggy. The kettle was leaking (dangerous), the toilet fan didn't work, and the air conditioning was almost non-functional (room 219). The hotel doesn't have a restaurant at all! The swimming pool and whirlpool are available for a maximum of four people at limited times. If four people occupy it for hours, there's no chance of using it."

The check in was a little bit long as the receptionist was new in this position and was not speaking easily englush. Nevertheless we have received good support to print our train tickets. "The hotel is reasonably functional. The food served at the restaurant was truly amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. However, this is the only positive thing to be remarked upon in this regard. We booked two rooms and in one of them (15) we were utterly shocked to find out that the windows wouldn’t open.
