Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Malimono?
The best area to stay in Malimono is along the Malimono Coast, particularly around Barangays San Isidro and Cagdianao.

These areas offer direct access to the coastline and are where you'll find the most established resorts and guesthouses. The Malimono Coast is characterised by its long stretches of sandy beaches and clear waters, making it ideal for those wanting a relaxing beach holiday. Most accommodations here are situated right on the beach, providing easy access to swimming and sunbathing.

For couples seeking a tranquil and romantic getaway, staying in a beachfront resort in Cagdianao is a superb choice. This area tends to be quieter, with properties often offering private balconies with sea views and opportunities for secluded walks along the shore. The focus here is on relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of the coast.

Families will find San Isidro a good base due to its slightly more developed infrastructure, with a few local eateries and shops available. Resorts in this area often have facilities suiting families, such as larger rooms or direct beach access for children to play.
When is the best time to go to Malimono?
For a most enjoyable visit to Malimono, the best time to go is during the dry season, which typically runs from March to October.

This period is particularly good for families looking to spend time by the coast. The calm waters are great for swimming and paddleboarding, and the dry conditions mean you can comfortably enjoy picnics and beach games. There are many coves and stretches of sand along the coastline that are easily accessible.

Couples will also appreciate the dry season for its opportunities for romantic outings. Whether it's a sunset boat trip or a leisurely walk along the shore, the pleasant weather creates a lovely setting.
