"Great location but sub standard service and the rooms are small and loud. Stayed here for one night and got billed twice (not sure if Hotels issue or with them). As I was checking out early they’d offered a breakfast bag which I said yes to, but when I showed up the next morning the person in reception had no idea and couldn’t find any. Stayed in a Standard room which was small and every sound from the room next door could be heard through the walls. Not planning to stay here again"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Malčice?
The best times to visit Malčice are during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the region is at its peak.

During late spring, the countryside around Malčice bursts into life with lush greenery and blooming flowers. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like walking or cycling through the local vineyards and orchards. This period is also excellent for exploring the nearby Zemplínska Šírava lake, where you can enjoy watersports or simply relax by the shore without the peak summer crowds.

Early autumn brings comfortable, cooler temperatures, usually between 10°C and 20°C, and the landscape transforms with vibrant autumnal colours. This is a particularly good time for those interested in local culture and gastronomy, as it often coincides with harvest festivals in the surrounding villages, offering opportunities to sample regional wines and traditional Slovak dishes.
