"We booked The Samuel Hotel for 6 nights while on a trip from the US. Check-in was simple and we were able to leave our bags at the desk early while we explored until our official check-in time. The hotel felt extremely secure. The cafe down in the lobby was convenient. The hotel is right next to a LUAS stop which made for super easy travel anywhere. We purchased the breakfast one of the days we stayed and it was a pretty decent buffet of food! We had a king room that had a little table and chairs (I can't remember what the room was called exactly). This was perfect for a 6 night stay. Maybe could have used a few more hangers, or a stand for a suitcase but not a deal breaker. With the windows closed, we heard very minimal noises outside of our room. I think it was about 3 days in before we heard the LUAS ding down on the street. The only thing we had issues with was the AC (but I realize this is very American of us). The AC would shut off in the middle of the night and the duvet worked too well (emphasis on the 'too' because I imagine in winter it would be lovely! lol) which ended with some sweaty nighttime wake ups. Every interaction with the front desk was great. It ultimately was a great experience. Only thing we maybe would consider next time is proximity to a pub or two. They were sparse near the convention center. One night we did walk home later and grabbed some Brazilian snacks from Golden Bites down the street. Highly recommend!"
