"Clontarf Castle is a wonderful hotel with amazing decor and art. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but otherwise was excellent, very clean, with a good sized bathroom. The bar is lovely with great service. The hotel strives for luxury, and succeeds in many ways, but was seriously let down by the breakfast service. The manager was very good, but the rest of the staff seemed, at best, disinterested. Food was delivered and the servers said almost nothing, did not look at us, and nobody came...

"We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Hillview House although we did not spend a great deal of time there as it was a pit stop before getting an early ferry the next day. The family room worked great for us as a family of 5. Plenty of space and all in the same room but the parents bed was across from the kids through an open alcove so we had a bit of peace. Katy was super helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. It was expensive for one night's stay so that is the only negative....
