8.4/10 Very Good! (2,297 reviews)
Hotel is centrally located near the city and cruise ship port which is a good/bad thing. Fun to watch the ships and easy to walk to things but can get crowded and loud. We stayed at the residences next to the hotel proper which was nice because we had a full apartment with 1 1/2 baths and could go out the ‘back door’ to the neighboring beach when our beach was crowded with day trippers from the ships. The water park attracts families of course so we avoided the area until later in the day when it was quieter. Unfortunately my (grown) daughter broke her foot using the pink water slide because the pool water is only 3 ft deep where it lets out and her foot hit the bottom very hard. She is a very average size person. We filed an incident report and while the staff was nice enough no one really seemed to care. About this or anything else really. She will have to take a LOA from work now. The housekeeping was so so and while our room wasn’t dirty it felt like it needed a thorough cleaning. The beds were way too soft and air conditioning varied between freezing and waking up in a sweat at the same temperature. The restaurant served a decent variety of food at reasonable enough prices and the hamburger was good. The ‘arcade’ is across the street from the hotel so children would need to be escorted i would suggest. Overall, it was an okay place to stay.

9.2/10 Wonderful! (513 reviews)
Our stay at Goldwynn Resort & Residences in Nassau had some genuinely nice aspects, but there were also several issues that are worth mentioning honestly.
On the positive side, the property itself is beautiful and modern, and the rooms are spacious and well-designed, which made it comfortable to settle in. The overall aesthetic feels upscale and more boutique compared to many other places in Nassau.
That said, a number of things took away from the experience. The beach, while visually pretty at times, had a significant amount of seaweed during our stay, which made it less enjoyable than expected and at times difficult to fully use.
There were also a lot of birds around the resort, especially near the pool and beach areas, which became more of a nuisance than we anticipated.
One particularly concerning moment was when a truck clearing seaweed drove very close to guests relaxing on the beach—my wife was nearly hit, with the truck missing her by about one lounge chair. It didn’t feel like guest safety was being handled as carefully as it should have been.
Additionally, there was ongoing construction for an expansion of the resort, and the noise was noticeable enough to disrupt the otherwise relaxing atmosphere at times.
Overall, Goldwynn has a lot of potential and delivers on design and comfort, but between the seaweed, the birds, the construction noise, and the safety concern we experienced, it didn’t feel like the fully polished luxury experience we were expecting.

8.8/10 Excellent! (1,001 reviews)
The place has some charm and appealing factors, but is not 4 star not worth the price Seriously outdated, fixtures that are falling apart or low quality, and just so many amenities and features that are subpar that this resort is not near the standard for 4 star. The location is appreciable, nice and safe, feels comfortable once you accept concessions. Everything is overpriced, $28 for a bland, soulless omelet and processed orange juice. Staff is decent, didn't get extra towels after the first night which for the price is concerning. I can see kids having fun in the pool area for families. I did enjoy the hammocks outside of our room along the canal. Property has convenience store, pharmacy, restaurants all accessible which was a great plus. It's not directly on the beach, and the access to the beach is both convenient and a little off-putting (have to go under bridged on other side of the road) at the same time. So all in all, if it were more directly located on the water, or at a lower price point there would be more value.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) – Hidden Gem with Amazing Views & Hosts
We had an awesome stay at A Stone's Throw Away—this place is a true hidden gem.
The location is perfect—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. The views are absolutely incredible, especially overlooking the ocean—great spot to sit, unwind, and just take it all in.
What really made the stay stand out was the staff. Shan, Treasure, Chris, and John were all amazing—super friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They genuinely made us feel at home and made the trip even better. THANK YOU!
Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy, and we had zero issues during the stay. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The Indian restaurant on site was excellent as well. I had the Curry chicken and rice. My wife had the Penne pasta chicken.
We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nassau.

Normally don’t stay at large resorts but this one was beautiful. Just a warning you will do a lot of walking and waking up early to grab seats. The food was just okay It was very pricey if your used to going to an all inclusive be prepared to spend an additional 2 grand on food.
