10/10 Excellent
"The room and the hotel itself, and the location and the staff are all amazing!!! I highly recommend this place. The only issue is finding it. It’s almost impossible to find on your own and the phone number that is provided doesn’t work or at least nobody answers it. The only way we were able to find it is we asked our driver to look it up and she was able to find the correct phone number and contact the reception. I wish they would provide detailed instructions on how to get to the property. Other than that, the trip was amazing and the staff went above and beyond for us!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Majiang County?
The best area to stay in Majiang County is generally around the town centre, particularly near the Majiang River.

This central area offers the most convenient access to local amenities and transportation links. You'll find a concentration of hotels, local eateries, and shops along streets like Renmin Road and Minzu Road, which run parallel to the river. The riverfront itself provides pleasant walking paths.

For travellers looking for convenience and easy access to local culture, staying in the town centre is ideal.
When is the best time to go to Majiang County?
The best time to visit Majiang County is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, with comfortable temperatures and less rainfall compared to the summer. This makes exploring the county's natural landscapes and cultural sites much more enjoyable. For instance, the lush green hills are particularly inviting for outdoor activities without the intense heat or humidity of summer.

For travellers interested in cultural experiences, visiting during these times often coincides with local festivals. These events provide a deeper insight into the traditions of the Miao and Dong ethnic groups who call Majiang County home. You'll find opportunities to witness traditional music, dance, and crafts.

While summer (June to August) is warm, it can also be quite wet due to the monsoon season, which might affect outdoor plans. Winter (November to March) can be chilly, and some attractions might have reduced hours.
