"The hotel was clean, and the staff were professional, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast was satisfactory, and the location was excellent, within walking distance of both the Convention Center and the Riverwalk. However, the parking fees and hotel taxes were excessively expensive and significantly increased the overall cost of the stay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but the additional charges were disappointing."

"Everything was good except the elevator not working. We were on the top floor (5th floor) and the elevator quit. With my health I’m not able to even make it up one flight of stairs . My husband’s health isn’t to much better and he had to make 3 trips up and down stairs the stairs moving our things. Staff did put us in a room on first floor but only discounted my stay by giving free parking which came out to about 65$."

"Welcoming staff. Bring information about vehicle because they need to give you parking pass. Good maps/information. Walking to River Walk and Alamo and area/mall around Alamo not too far, but the way doesn't feel super safe in the evening. I didn't try pool. Breakfast is breakfast = plenty of it, nothing fancy."

"On arrival the staff were very friendly. They suggested a change of room assignment given that the Spurs were playing at home and the Riverwalk might get noisy, so we were switched to a pool view room. The room was excellent. The decor was modern and comfortable and for the most part fresh with minimal wear. The bathroom was good and the toiletries were quality. The only negative was that the room was fairly dark and given that opening the curtains gives a view into the room, this was less than ideal. Just a minor thing though that doesn't detract much from the overall experience. The hotel has a lot of charm and character and is a pleasant change from the usual chain hotel. The hotel's location is excellent: walk out of the hotel straight onto the Riverwalk with several great restaurants on the doorstep; walk out the front to close proximity breakfast places and Starbucks. The valet parking is very pricey at over $60/night and there is a safe self-park option literally 30 seconds away for $10/day. There was torrential rain on our first night that overwhelmed the pool area and drainage system and led to the lower level having some water (I don't think it made it into the rooms). The staff were good natured and helpful during this time. By the following morning there was no sign that anything had happened. Overall, A great short stay and will put La Mansion at the top of my list to stay at next time I'm in San Antonio."
