Suite rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. Beds are firm though. Hotel is located in a start district with nice restaurants nearby. Rooms are excellent value for money. Sadly the Barman tried to rip us off by serving a high class wine when we ordered house wine. We had 12 glasses between a group of friends so the price difference was huge so beware. Breakfast was dreadful. Pastries were stale and eggs were full of salt. You’re be better having the Indian curry buffet.

The Shakun hotel is well located in the city and just slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the main road; it's great for tour pick-ups and grabbing an Uber to dinner in the evening.
The hotel is a little dated and perhaps not quite as grand as it once was. We travelled outside of peak season and it felt like the staff had been switched to a less experienced team who perhaps weren't as knowledgeable about service. However, they were always really friendly when we approached them.
However, the restaurant food was great and the breakfast buffet was varied. Our room was big, spacious, really clean and attended to every day. If you're looking for a base while you spend a couple of days exploring Jaipur and aren't too worried about aesthetics of the hotel then the Shakun hotel, for the price, is worth it.

Stunning hotel. Very good location. Within walking distance of the pink city. The restaurant and cafe are stunning. The pool is a little small but the rooftop is stunning to watch the sunset. The staff are amazing and the rooms are too. The bathrooms are clean and modern. The hotel feels like a sanctuary amongst the madness of Jaipur

"This is a fantastic new hotel in Mandawa, an off-the-beaten-path city that is well worth a visit. Set in a fully restored haveli (a traditional merchant’s palace), it offers beautifully appointed rooms and excellent service at a very reasonable price. There is no better place to stay in town."

"It was a horrible experience altogether. The bathroom was verrrrrry dirty and the gutter was smelling and the WC was shaking . The bedsheets were not at all clean and had stains on them .some of the staff were very rude.l did not at all like the experiences also considering we had paid for the best ..."
