And right up the stairs there is a beautiful rooftop area with a small pool (id call it more of a hot tub) and a covered area with a couch and a lovely view. "This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. The suite we got was huge, (living room, full kitchen, dining room, and bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs). "Do not book this hotel at the last minute if you are arriving late at night. I arrived, and the entire place was dark. There were no check-in instructions provided with the confirmation email, and the hotel would not answer the phone number. As a result, I was sitting in their parking lot until 1:30am, and hotels.com was not helpful at all. This hotel should not accept last minute bookings, if they are not available 24 hours/day, and it's concerning that they do not answer the published phone...

"The hotel is new and rooms are large. We had a huge extra balcony space but our room was far from the lobby, pool and restaurants. Everything should get a 4.5 star rating, just like the hotel. It's not 5 star but it's almost. Breakfast has a bunch of options and the view is great. The beach is nice and the staff there always made us feel welcome. It's hard to explain but everything was good, while not being 5 star."
