The Space:
Bask in the year-round unobstructed long-range mountain views from all locations inside and outside the cabin. All four seasons provide unforgettable ever-changing daytime and nighttime picturesque vantage points.

The cabin comes fully stocked with linens, hotel size bath items, and other essentials. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to create your delectable dishes on granite countertops, a central island, two sinks, an electric stove, an oven, and a microwave. There are three ways to make your morning coffee: a French Press, a Keurig unit, a conventional coffee maker, and to make tea or hot chocolate we have an electric kettle, all for your morning wake-up in the mountains. The dining space has a large expandable wooden table with plenty of room to dine, commune, and soak in the views. The open concept living room area contains a comfortable sofa, a love seat, a river coffee table, and two stately reclining leather chairs. A live-edge walnut behind the sofa table and additional chairs fill out the living room for that vital family gathering area. Throughout the cabin, enjoy the many photographs from Ed Green, a local photographer.

We want the whole family to have an unforgettable experience. Children will thoroughly enjoy the bunk room, with its flickering lantern light that gives the feeling of a cozy campsite. Playful plush black bear cubs climb the posts of the beds. For the younger family members, we provide a highchair and Pack-n-Play so they are always able to be part of the family experience.

The main bedroom has a king-size log bed and an ensuite private bath and mountain views from your bed. The loft bedroom has a hickory frame queen bed, an ensuite bathroom with a whirlpool tub, and a small private balcony. The king and queen mattresses are flippable from hard to soft. A third bedroom on the main level has two log bunk beds with a bathroom just outside the bedroom. A queen-sized high-end foam platform pull-out couch with the highest comfort ratings is in the rec room. Two queen floor foldable mattresses are available as well.

A private hot tub is just steps outside the rec room door on the lower deck. The hot tub is maintained each time a group departs. A cozy fire pit is just a few steps away to enjoy the starry skies.

The Pit Boss Pro wood pellet grill and smoker is ready for all your grilling adventures with extra pellets onsite if needed. Instructions for the grill are in the Cabin Instruction Book. The home has its own whole-house water filtration system.

We have provided a Cabin Instruction Book for using the cabin during your stay. All light switches are labeled for your convenience. We have a keyless entry system for easy
coming and going. The living room stone fireplace is propane as is the outside fire pit. Each unit has straightforward instructions, making both safe and easy to use.

Entertainment:
The living room is a perfect place to gather and watch a movie or a sporting event while snacking on refreshments and watching the flickering flames of the fireplace. The lower level rec room boasts a 75-inch Smart TV, pool table, lounging area, wet bar, refrigerator, and a Legends Ultimate arcade game console with hundreds of vintage games to choose from. Who’ll have the topscore? The rec room game table provides opportunities for board and card games, such as Rummikub and Uno. Bring your favorites along. Puzzles of bears and other wildlife are available for children, young and old. We’ve provided a selection of children’s books in the bunk room, ready for bedtime stories and expanding the imagination. The downstairs theater room has a 65-inch Smart TV, surround sound system, DVD player, a sofa, and Yogibo beanbags. Stream programs and movies or bring your favorite DVDs. We have a selection of DVD titles available as well. Set the mood with the changeable colored LED lights.

Technology:
We have recently installed Starlink high-speed internet, which will support all 5 televisions, and all mobile devises that you choose to bring. Internet speed of 50 Mbps is considered high speed. Our ‘lightning bolt’ WIFI speed of up to 162 Mbps is blisteringly fast, and more than enough for remote meetings support and full streaming activities, even for your high-end gamers. Our professional level connection has priority and does not buffer or down throttle, so we can handle any remote working needs. There is a backup internet system, directions are found in the Cabin Instruction Book. There are multiple Smart TVs connected by WIFI throughout the cabin. The network features Hulu TV, Netflix, etc. In addition to adult bedrooms, TV units are over the living room fireplace, downstairs in the rec room, and in a recently added theater room.

Attractions:
Just minutes to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Cataloochee Ski Area, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley attractions.

The Neighborhood:

This home is central to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (15 min), Sylva (15 min), Waynesville (10 min), Asheville (30 min), Asheville airport (45 min), Highlands/Cashiers (20-30 min), Atlanta (2.5h), Charlotte (3.5 hr), Catalooche Ski Area 9.3 miles, Gatlinburg, TN (1.5h).

The experience in this cabin is pure Zen and Peace... the Stars are incredible!

Glorious mountain cabin with views not rivaled by any other setting. Wake to the sight of mountain tops piercing the clouds in this spacious cabin in the sky. As the clouds dissipate, you are surrounded by the majesty of the mountains and trees; so close, you feel as though you can reach out and touch them from the spacious deck that surrounds this one-of-a-kind log cabin. Adirondack chairs invite you to take in the views. Inside, beautiful walls and ceilings of warm and welcoming knotty pine.

Getting Around:
The home is located above the Maggie Valley Golf Course. To experience the amazing view from our cabin involves an adventurous drive up the mountain. All the roads to the cabin are paved, and some spots are curvy and a single lane; There are a couple of steeper parts on the drive to the cabin, but it is easily drivable with 2WD during most of the year. If you catch a winter storm, you'll likely need 4WD to get to the cabin, but the view is totally worth it! The cabin elevation is 3800 which provides breathtaking views of the Great Smoky Mountains. If you are coming at night for the first time, or concerned about navigation, just reach out to us and we can help you navigate from the golf course up to the cabin. The visibility on the roads is excellent so just go slow and you will have no problems. Once you do it the first time, it will be a breeze.

Interaction with Guests:
All guests will have full access to a dedicated team to answer any questions and deal with any problems 18 hours a day, 7 days a week (7am- 11pm everyday)!

Family Trip with amazing views from a comfortable, cozy, beautiful cabin.
We were incredibly impressed with this property. The views were amazing. The house is beautiful. Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets available to stay warm. The game area and movie area downstairs were a lot of fun. Hot tub was clean and towels were provided. When we were there, the temps were below freezing and they had put salt out on the steep driveway which was so thoughtful and reassuring. Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking equipment.

Family retreat
We had not taken a family vacation together in many years and needed to get out of the Texas heatwave. Had a lot of plans for the smokie mountains but once we arrived - let’s just say a lot of our plans were deleted so that we could stay at this wonderful home and just enjoy it. Everything about this house was absolutely perfect. I feel the pictures couldn’t begin to show how the house really is. Very spacious and well laid out- warm and inviting. Basic supplies were well furnished and very clean. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this home.

Beautiful scenery! Beautiful house!
The property was even more gorgeous than the pics. Plenty of space for my family (9 total). The driveway was very steep (we were not used to it being from Louisiana) but it was definitely worth it once you were at the top! The scenery was breathtaking.

Incredible!
WOW this was one of the best rentals I’ve ever stayed in. Pictures don’t even do it justice! The view is INCREDIBLE! Location was fabulous, and the hosts were above and beyond the whole time. Very easy to communicate with the team. House was extremely comfortable, and was perfect for a weekend away for my friends during Super Bowl weekend. We loved having the hot tub, while enjoying the scenic views of the mountains in front of us. House is also close to a Public’s grocery store as well, plus restaurants in Waynesville. Already planning another trip to stay there again. Thank you for an amazing weekend in the mountains.

Breathtaking mountain views from amazing cabin
When I booked my stay I read about the beautiful views. But that description isn't even close. The high mountain views were absolutely breathtaking! Check in process was very smooth and easy. The cabin was clean and the furnishings were a higher quality than most rentals, from quality furniture to quality sheets and towels. The beds were very comfortable, including the platform sleeper in the game room. We really enjoyed the bear theme and the local photographs throughout the cabin. The kids really enjoyed the bunkroom which had bears, a lighted lantern and lots of childrens books. Greta and Wes really thought of everything, from all the baby items (Pack'n Play, highchair, bibs and sippy cups) to the kitchen which had room for all the cooks to be in the kitchen (pot and pans, cutting boards, salt, pepper, spices, oil, a griddle, a rice cooker, cookware, wine glasses and more). Our favorite breakfast was waffles on the double sided waffle maker while enjoying the spectacular snow covered mountain views. We look forward to coming in warmer weather so we can eat on the deck and watch the sunrise over Maggie Valley. They provided two coffee makers and an electric water kettle, I enjoyed the tea. The Pit Boss Pellet Grill on the patio worked great and had all utensils you would need. At night the propane fire pit was a big hit with everyone. It was nice that we didn't have to buy wood. We had a relaxing time in the hot tub, the evening stars and the lights in Maggie Valley were amazing. The game room had activities for everyone, a pool table, an arcade with lots of fun games, a cabinet full of games and puzzles as well as a huge TV that made it feel like you were in a home movie theater. The living room was very romantic with a stone gas fireplace and comfortable seating, it was a great place to unwind after the kids went to bed. The cabin is in the perfect location to enjoy everything that the Smoky Mountains, Maggie Valley and Waynesville has to offer. We hiked to Soco Falls, which is very close, something you don't want to miss. We had an amazing time at the cabin. On the way home everyone was talking about all the fun things we did. We are already looking at our calendar to see when we can book our next visit to the cabin.

Beware
This property has amazing views, and the cabin itself is nice. The drive up can be stressful - one lane road with sharp corners. I do not recommend driving up the first time at night, and I wouldn't even try it in the snow. We had a few hiccups with the cabin itself - no HuluTV like advertised - owner told me I needed to reinstall it with no instructions or password. A smoke detector with a dead battery we spent a good amount of time trying to find. And while the beds look nice in pictures, they are really uncomfortable. All in all, very minor things I could look past. However, my biggest complaint and why I gave this property 2 stars is because of an extra charge that showed up on my credit card 5 weeks after check out. I contacted the billing company Peak Season Booking and they said there were some stains on some towels. This property was booked after we left, and we had not received any communication that there was an issue. I asked for the pictures and and an invoice but they did not respond. I emailed the owner but no response. I contacted VRBO and they said it was very unusual to get a charge 5 weeks after check-out, and they would ask the owner to contact me. No response. So my advice is to simply beware. There are many beautiful properties in the area, but I cannot recommend this one.

We had no a/c for the first 3 days. Apparently the compressor had to be replaced. Would have thought that previous guest would have reported. Only other comment is the outside grill really need to be cleaned and tools to clean need to be replaced.

Beautiful Cabin, Beautiful View
Cabin was very nice, everything as promised. View is spectacular! Maggie Valley is a quiet area without the hassle of Gatlinburg. But close enough to the Smokies, Pisgah, DuPont and Asheville for nice day trips.
