"Ardoe House is a beautiful property, very much in keeping with it's history as a baronial mansion. The decor is lavish and made us all feel very posh! The rooms are very well appointed and clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed we had in our two weeks of travel, and the dining options were great. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and had so much on offer, it was hard to decide - luckily there was haggis!! The staff were all incredibly friendly and lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend this hidden gem."

"Everything about this place was top-shelf! From the wonderful entrance to the hallways leading to the spacious well-equipped rooms, to the excellent food in the restaurant and the smooth drinks from the bar. However the “Great Room” which is the oldest location of Maryculter House (dating back to the 1200’s) was simply amazing! Sitting quietly in the great room both late in the evening or early in the morning, you are overcome with the past and those who shared this room throughout the centuries! Walking the grounds is a relaxing experience to give you a break from the go, go, go of travel. We can’t recommend Maryculter House enough, and thank our friends who recommended it to us!"
