"The staff is fluent in English, Thai, and Burmese. They're very helpful and courteous. The area is quite close to neighborhood cafes and teashops for dining. Onsite restaurant offers a good choice of fruit juices, hot drinks, and meals. For some reason, during my stay, I couldn't get hot water from the tap or in the shower -- it's not a big deal since it's in a hot region and a cool shower is preferable, but in case you must have your warm or hot shower, keep that in mind. "

The manager arranged transport to the border, and his son accompanied us there, then hired a van to take us from the Thai departure desk to the Myanmar immigration window. The manager's son then took us onward to the waiting van, and we drove a few blocks into Myawaddy where another van was hired to take us on to Mawlamyine. And they helped us convert currency. "Just make sure you arrive before 7pm as they close the doors and you may find yourself sleeping outside. Once you are checked in you will be given a key to come and go as you please, just make sure you don't take a late bus to Mae Sot. The staff are a friendly family that I enjoyed my time with. Oldie but a goodie
"Yes, this hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment.... but dont let that stop you from staying there! This was, by far, the most comfortable bed i have slept on in the whole of Thailand!!!! The rooms are big, bathrooms are ok but a little dark, need a few more lights. Big plus is the fact that the big shopping mall, Robinsons, is just across the road. Also, breakfast was really good! You know how you are disappointed every time you get a croissant at a breakfast buffet because once you bite into it, its immediately apparent that its been sitting there for 10 years... not at this hotel! I bit into the most fresh, flaky, soft and warm croissant ive had in Thailand in weeks. I'd stay here again just for the breakfast and the bed!!!"
