The property was absolutely beautiful and the accommodations were great! The room was spacious and the pool area was very inviting! The dinner buffet was filled with many delicious options to choose from and was very convenient. I would suggest a vent for the bathroom and possibly a mini fridge in each room. I would definitely love to return with my daughter and her friend for another stay.

This is a beautiful, well maintained and expertly furnished property. There are so many places, including the pool area, to sit, relax and listen to and watch the wildlife. It is set in wonderful grounds and extensive countryside with amazing views. We had breakfast daily which was plentiful and tasty and the service from staff was excellent throughout our stay. We did not ride, but if you are a horse rider this is a great place to stay. The nearby town of Madison (about a 15 min car journey) is delightful with a good selection of shops and restaurants and has an old town charm.

Wonderful vacation at Southern Cross Guest Ranch.

This place was amazing. I have gone twice and truly enjoyed both stays. The staff were wonderful. It is a place you can enjoy whether you ride horses or not. I used it as a B&B. It was very relaxing. I also enjoyed walking to the stables to feed the horses treats. The food is amazing. You would be surprised with the options you have to choose from. With the B&B a you have the option to include lunch and dinner with your stay if you want to. With the all inclusive horse riding pkg it was included.

Can't wait to go back

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Ranch. We're pet the horses, played with the cats and dogs who live there, she saw the most incredible stars at night. Breakfast was excellent and if you tell them you're diet restrictions they'll work with them. The rooms are beautiful and have character. There are tons of places to sit and relax. The only negative thing I would say is they had terrible 1-ply toilet paper. So we're definitely going back, but maybe I'll bring a roll or two.

He staff made an effort to make guests feel at home. The room was quiet and comfortable and offered a lovely view. Snacks and drinks were available 24/7, and the breakfast was fine. My only suggestion would be to serve the breakfast at a warmer temperature. At serving time, the food was fairly cold; not a good temperature for eggs and pancakes. The horses were gorgeous and very well taken care of.

It snowed the weekend we were there, but still enjoyed going down to the barn to spend time with the horses. They are amazing. Disappointed by the breakfast/meals that were included. We couldn't go far because of the snow, so we were limited and the meals were disappointing. Thank God they had snacks !!! The cook/ kitchen manager appeared to not want to be there and it was evident in the food she served and her general attitude (unwelcoming).

This place was so beautiful, quiet, and amazing!!! I have a horse allergy and no interest in horses so I almost didn’t book but options were running low and I took a risk and I’m so glad I did!! It was so EXTREMELY clean and I could’ve easily stayed for a week and had so much fun in such a calming environment. I can’t wait to come back with my kids and stay longer to truly enjoy how put together the inn was!
