Walls were super grimy in the bathroom area. Dust and mold in the fixture. Mold on the cement balcony. Balcony door lock was inoperative.

The employees were very nice and accomidating. It was clean and comfortable. The room was small. The view was great. The nastiest thing is you couldnt walk through the grass without stepping in dog excrement. Even on the playground. I would stay here again.

Let me start by saying the view from the property is gorgeous!! The check in staff was nice. The room did not look like it does on the website. Room was dirty cobwebs, spiders, mosquitoes, armadillo bugs all in the room. Room smelled of old musty cigarettes. I had to buy room scent jelly’s and disinfectant spray. Microwave didn’t work. The toilet backed up the first time using it as the sink took forever to drain as well. The water smells like rotten eggs. Was not even able to shower as that didn’t drain properly either. If we would have seen the room before we paid we would have went else where.

Pool was filthy, hot tub not in service and filthy, bathroom ceiling falling down, cobwebs everywhere, no breakfast included that was advertised. The front door did not look safe could see where there was pieces of the trim gone like someone had pryed it open at one time. Light bulbs burned out, and cracked plastic lamp shade. The lock on the sliding glass door was not good and the screen door didn't even have a lock as well as, there was duct tape holding the handle on. The shower curtain was filthy It seems that it needs to be state inspected for safety It was advertised as something that it was not! As far as booking with Hotels.com, I will never recommend anyone using this app and I will be deleting it from my contacts.

The room was very dirty. There was a coffee pod on the middle of the bathroom floor when we walked in. Behind the main door of the room, there's mold and cobwebs growing. The bathroom had hair in the bathtub and hair all over the sink. It needs a good deep clean. We asked the desk after checking to be moved to a ground floor walkout room as we noticed the hotel was empty. They told me they could not accommodate me because those rooms were unoccupied but had not been cleaned yet. This was at 7:00 p.m. at night. We would never stay here again. Very run down and dirty.

The motel was reasonably priced and located right at the beach. The room was very small but functional and comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was far too bright and the hot water was hot enough to scald.

Room #2 Window AC built into wall was adequate for the size of the room but, left a musty smell in the room. Bath needed an update. Shower hot handle leaked scalding water that was real hard not to come in contact with due to shower size. Excellent Ice machine but, the cola vending machine dispensed slightly expired Stary soda. Indoor pool water was clean but cold & Hot tub was OOO. Not much could be expected at the extreme discounted price.

Nothing nice, the size of a jail cell for the price. Dirty throughout the room. Walls carpet baseboards. Tried to leave earlier but was still charged. Dead bugs on the walls spiders in the corners with the webs. Hated it!

The ONLY good thing was being on the water with a great view!! We did not stay there as it smelled damp and musky with the smell of urine in one area. The screen door was broken and could not leave it open to air it out. Costly mistake believing the pictures on the web site, did not stay there as we did not want to bring anything home with us!

Hotel was disgusting. The ceiling was leaking, and their were flies EVERYWHERE. I asked for a refund to find another location which was refused. Property should be condemned.

Decent, reasonably priced, clean.
Friendly staff although not very aware of the area. Sent us to a closed restaurant. No maid service. Good location. Quiet except when the elephants upstairs stomped around. Nice to hear the lake waves. Someone did try to get into our room one day on the lake side when we were gone. Put the board in the slider.

1 of my rooms did not have fitted sheets and a broken tv. My other room did not have a shower that worked. It was dirty and broken towel rack, had no phone. When I complained they sent someone in that “fixed “ the shower and left a dirty mess on the floor. The shower still didn’t work & only cold water came out. The mgr and Expedia refused to help me out. I paid $150 a night and couldn’t take a shower. The nbr said she stayed in truck stops better than this place. Expedia should not promote this hotel. They should try sleeping there themselves then they would remove it. 0 stars on this one for this hotel and Expedia. Bad customer service. No refund was given, I got screwed.

Room was disgusting. Originally booked and paid for a room and they moved me down the road because they sold out of rooms. The sheets had yellow stains and the bathroom floor was stained and rusted. Room smelt bad and was just poorly taken care of motel. The outlets didn’t work because whatever you tried to plug in would fall out. Extension cords all over the floor. It was gross and disgusting. Overpriced because of the beach front that is covered in trash and geese poop. Was so exhausted from the day just needed a place to sleep and left as soon as possible. Would not recommend and it’s worth it to pay for a cleaner room especially when they will overcharge you here.

Older property on Lake Huron. No it isnt the most pristine or luxurious option. But the price was right. Our room was 50 ft from the water. Enjoyed having a firepit and bridge/island views. Would stay here again.

We booked to stay at sunrise beach motel, then when we got there they told us they didn't have any rooms left and that we would be put in a room at the motel next door which had supposedly the exact same rooms. It was up a rickety metal staircase to a plywood platform that had a disgusting and dirty room. They refused to give us our money back.
