Beachfront Cabin on Straits of Mackinac

Our home is located right on the Straits of Mackinac. With scenic views of Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Bridge and the freighters passing, it is the most relaxing getaway. We are located just over a mile away from one of the ferry lines that take you to Mackinac Island and walking distance from the Lumber Jack show. We are right on the water so you have your own beach. The house also come with free access to a local waterpark and discounts to local restaurants.

SPECTACULAR LOCATION ! ! !

We loved our stay here ! Your backyard is Lake Huron ! 40' away from the back door. View also includes Mackinac Island and you're just a short drive from Mackinaw City and Lake Michigan. House is very well kept.

The house was clean and very close to the ferry pick up point ! Jodi was kind and helpful if we had questions . Beach is right on the backyard with beautiful views from the porch. you have free access to the bridge vista beach too ! That’s an added plus when you stay here . I would stay here again !

Don’t know what the other reviews are talking about saying they grass isn’t mowed. The yard looks clean and well trimmed as well as the house. The trees provided perfect privacy from the neighbors when sitting on the beach. The owner provided several amenities and was a great help. overall perfect stay

Macinac Beachfront

The house was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake and the bridge. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the lake and having a full kitchen. On the negative side there was a distinct gas odor in the garage and I would have liked to have extra garbage bags and a few dish towels. I would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay! The location is definitely 5 stars! What to know: the house could use some updates, but there have been some since the pictures have been posted so I think Jodi is working on them! There was no grime or anything as mentioned in other posts. Everything was clean! We enjoyed our night with a fire by Lake Huron - there’s firewood right down the road and some plastic patio chairs. The grass has been recently mowed. No a/c. We were comfortable with windows open and bedroom fans going. We would definitely stay again!

House was very clean and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The only problem was not hearing back from our host. I had sent her a message a week before asking if there was a coffee pot or Keurig to bring pods but never got a reply. After arriving we tried our absolute best to get the WiFi but it would not connect. I sent her another email with no reply the entire 4 days we were there

A night stay..

Curb appeal, the house needs work. Inside the garage has a gas smell that is very strong in the morning. The windows all need to be updated. Only 4 windows open in the home and on a hot humid day, the house is unbareable as there isnt any air conditioning. Only fans in the home are the 2 ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Also, the stove needs a good cleaning and the dryer door doesnt shut. Overall, can see they have done some updates in the home just needs quite bit more. The neighborhood is peaceful and the view of the bridge and lake huron is beautiful.
