Cute As A Bug Cottage On The Shores of Big Manistique Lake

"We had a great time at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The only downside was that they lowered the water level at the dam prior to our arrival, and we couldn't use the dock. Of course, this was a fishing trip, so we were bummed, but found other things to do. The view is beautiful. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would we do it again, for sure, but would find out the water levels if you're planning on docking boat."

"Enjoying the hot tub after a busy day at pictured rocks was great. The bed was comfortable. The shower/bathroom was very nice. The deluxe breakfast was well done. My only complaint is the pleather chairs need replacement in room 230. This would be an easy fix. Other than this minor detail, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"This is a great no frills Northwoods motel. If you just need a clean place to stay while adventuring, this is your spot. Things we loved: -In room coffee -Wi Fi -Updated rooms -Well kept property grounds -Self check in -Strong water pressure -In unit air conditioning Things that could use attention: -Mini fridge small freezer cubicle leaks water and food items will be soaked -Bathroom fan does not do much for getting moisture out (and lots of dust build up at the intake) -No peep hole in door to check who is knocking -No secondary interior door lock for security (a single deadbolt secured the door) The big question is whether we would stay here again: ABSOLUTELY!!"

"The cabin was clean when we arrived. Several light and switches were not working. We had unannounced visitors (mice) both upstairs and down stairs. The mosquitos were terrible during our rental which is not something the owner can control. Just unlucky to be there at the wrong time. Because of this, we were unable to enjoy the outside amenities."

"The house was clean and ready for us at check in. Comfortably Accommodated my family of 7 plus our dog. House sits on a beautiful lake with great options to enjoy it—pontoon boat, kayaks, fishing boat & fishing gear. We used all of that and loved it! The lake & yard are definitely great features as well as the yard that has a fire pit with 8 Adirondack chairs, a nice picnic table and swings. Had trouble getting the wifi to work (password given was incorrect and internet service had a partial outage for a couple of days) but the management was quickly responsive & updated us each day. The only other cons I have are: …the white coffee maker doesn’t work; the water reservoir on the pod side of the duel Hamilton Beach coffee maker /pod coffee maker was not clean and had gross “gunk” inside of it and we didn’t get to use that because of it-The reservoir on the coffee pot side was questionable too; no mixer of any kind & no aluminum foil found although the description says the kitchen is fully stocked; alot of traffic noise from being right off a busy highway; the wooden deck steps on the back are warped and a little dangerous as a result & was not safe for my elderly mom. House has some great updates, including the floors, but needs a little more updating. The entrance being updated would really help with the first impression in walking up and for getting inside. Overall, there’s a chance we will return for the fun in the water and the great location to other adventures!"
