Friendly family

Very friendly and helpful. We did not speak Italian but Nico spoke English. Very clean and nice spacious unit. Definitely read the instructions sent from Hotels.com to prepare yourself for the arrival as there is no standard 24 hour manned check in desk so you have to call the property before your arrival to let them know of your arrival.

The remedy for modern living

We stayed at L'antica dimora for a weekend in October and loved it. Robert is a gracious host, friendly and very helpful. The bnb is located in Macchiagodena, an ancient mountain town in Molise. There are nearby restaurants and coffee shops which Robert told us about. Each room has it's own character which you should expect in a villa that is over 300 years old. Our rooms were large and spacious furnished with family antiques. Each room had its own bathroom. Given the covid situation there wasn't breakfast offered but there are a few coffee shops within walking distance where you can get coffee. The town is where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking natural sites. Well worth the trip

La dimora è ben curata in ogni dettaglio, attenzione ai molti particolari antichi. Ben ristrutturata e bella da vedere, anche la piscina. Ottima colazione in stanze altrettanto curate nei particolari. Il tutto rendeva proprio un'atmosfera antica. Molto disponibile e cortese Ludovico.

Gentilezza e comfort

Bellissima camera (con una piccola cucina; definirla “camera” è riduttivo). Letto comodo e pulita. Unico difetto, forse, il bagno cieco e la presenza di un’unica, piccola finestra. Non un grande problema, comunque. I miei due cani sono stati accolti senza problemi (Aspetto, per me, fondamentale). Ludovico gentilissimo e colazione ottima e abbondante.

Scelta casualmente l’antica dimora si è rivelata uno dei luoghi di pernottamento più suggestivi che abbia mai frequentato. Il salto all’indietro di un secolo offerto dagli arredi porta lentamente ma inesorabilmente verso luoghi della memoria dimenticati e offre ristoro emotivo e comunque confortevole a chi fugge dal caos e dallo stress.
