"A fair distance off the road. Rooms nice and comfortable. Only one thing I didn’t like was , only access to unit from one door. Which was around the back . Wasn’t great when it was raining . Apart from that , very happy with my stay. "

"This is my second stay at Tairoa Lodge. It is a beautifully restored house with kauri floors and staircase, set in a large garden. Outside, the kauri trees, although young for kauri trees, are magnificent. Linda was an attentive host with a good eye for the details that make your stay memorable. Highly recommended for a taste of historic New Zealand."
