"We greatly enjoyed our stay on Highland Lake. The location is ideal, close to Portland on a large, but quiet lake. The house had many nice amenities that made the week easy. Timissa was immediately available and very attentive. Our teen boys loved fishing and kayaking. Very comfortable. Thank you!"

"We were in Portland for my parents anniversary. We left the area in 1986 and moved to NC but we love to come visit. Our stay here was absolutely perfect. There were 6 adults and 1 teen in the group. We were all very comfortable. Our hosts kept in touch, were informative, and handled any questions I had. We would love to stay again! "

"Boomfish Cottage is a cozy place with everything you could need . It was clean , comfy and serene . It provided the perfect calm for us during a weekend long family wedding at nearby Caswell Flower Farm . It was also easy access for an older person ( me) as well as small children and my little ShihTzu rescue dogs . My granddaughters came by and loved catching minnows in the still warm lake. Extra bonus was enjoying the peak foliage at the lake . Eric , the property manager was very communicative and check in was easy. We all loved our stay and also the story about Boomer the dog catching pinecones instead of fish ! Lovely stay and hope to return. Thank you ! "
