Resort overall was scenic and the beach was very good. Unfortunately checkin was less than acceptable. Check in was 4pm, didnt get room til 6:30 and there were still many people waiting for their room to be cleaned. To be fair the mgr on duty did waive the resort fee, when prompted. Observed same issue all 3 days we were there.

We enjoyed our stay in an Adventure tent. Very comfortable bed. Just enough of a camping feel with the conveniences of a high end hotel. Super-fresh granola in the morning. The club house is spacious and modern with two showers in the bathroom. Unfortunately only one was working and had to wait. Great for young families.

So enjoyed our stay at the ever-so-charming Blue Iris in Nantucket! Needed a bit of help before we even arrived and were taken care of perfectly. We were always greeted by friendly staff coming and going from the house. We stayed in room #5, which was so cute and private. The room was small, but comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of space for 2. We even decided to spend a little extra time there in the afternoons because we liked it so much. Morning service offered coffee…and wine was available in the main common area in the evenings. We walked to breakfast and the shoppes were within a block of our house. We felt safe walking to late dinners which was a nice change of pace and super easy to navigate. The Blue Iris has a few bicycles for guests to enjoy & we rode to bfast one morning. They even offer the motorized-type bicycle as well as cute blue bicycles…both have baskets! Don’t miss the shaded and spacious courtyard area with small tables & comfy seating. You can pick up lunch to eat there or enjoy a drink before heading to dinner. Because The Blue Iris does not have a restaurant/bar on site, so guests may enjoy Sister Ship @The Faraway…which is very close by ;) I booked our room online, which was very easy to do and I rcv’d emais/texts w/ reminders and upcoming travel information when our date to leave was close. The photos on their website are very true representations of what you’ll see…and I think it was even nicer in person. Highly recommend for an A+ stay!
