  • Located on St. George Hill, over-looking the city of Lviv, the church was the perfect target for destruction in the past. At least two versions of the St. George Cathedral were built before the final construction of the church as it is seen today. The Cathedral of St. George became the mother congregation of the Greek-Catholic religion in Ukraine. The St. George Cathedral in Lviv, is home to one of the most treasured relics, which was brought to the cathedral by Bishop Jiseph Shumlianskyi in 1674. It is the Icon of the Virgin Mary, and is a spectacular and preserved artifact. The interior was decorated with luxurious embellishments created by the local artistic talents of Lviv. Pinsel, the sculptor of the cathedral, created the spectacular St. George (known as the Dragon Slayer) statue. The St. George statue can be viewed in the attic of the cathedral, while the intimidating statues of St. Athanasius and St. Leo protect the portal. Renovations to the St. George Cathedral took place in the 1996, restoring the original beauty of the cathedral. Tourists, visiting this amazing historical masterpiece will not be disappointed. Over and above the cathedral, visitors can also visit the belfry, walk through the peaceful gardens or enter the final resting place of many important figures of the past in the tombs below the cathedral.

  • Lovely view of old Lviv from the top of the tower in the center of Ploscha Rynok. That's the Latin Cathedral, one of the oldest still-active churches in the city. To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

Hieno ja tasokas hotelli hyvällä paikalla, Oikea tähtiluokitus olisi varmaan lähempänä viittä tähteä kuin neljää. Hinta-laatusuhde oli loistava, kun vertaa Eu-maiden vastaaviin hotelleihin. Ilmeisesti asiakkaiden vähyyden vuoksi lähes henkilökohtaista palvelua. Voin suositella lämpimästi kaikille. Unohtumaton elämys, kun hotellivierailu alkoi opastuksella mitä tehdä ilmahälytyksen sattuessa (hotelilla on oma pommisuoja). Myös huoneesta vakiovarusteena löytyvä kaasunaamari oli aika hauska yksityiskohta. Suomalaista hotelleista tällaista lisävarustetta ei vielä tällä hetkellä löydy.

Service could be more time orrientated.

Reconstructed hotel with modern rooms. Service at the resturant was lacking. After placing orders food took nearly a hour to arrive. This is not idle for week day lunch meetings.

Great hotel

Modern building with nicely decorated rooms and toilets though the room was a bit small. Breakfast was fantastic especially with live music playing. My only problem was at checking in. The receptionist (the lady with eye_glasses ignored me altogether then served the guest who came 5 mnts after my arrival.

İade konusunda esnek olmalılar

Elimizde olmayan Ukrayna hükümeti tarafından 8-10 gün önce belirlenen bir kural yüzünden uçağa alınamadık. Bu durumu otele belirtmemize rağmen bize iade konusunda yardımcı olmadı. Kendi isteğimizle bir iptal söz konusu değildi, böyle durumlarda empati yapmalılar.

Perfect service

Nice stay all along if you pick the Premier rooms, amazing breakfast and very attentive personnel that is pleasant to deal with. Only stayed one night but got all the service needed, 24 room service with full restaurant menu, great stay overall.

Conveniently located, descent hotel. It is possible to reach it from Lviv airport by trolley bus just for 5 grivna (20 cents). max. 15 min. walking distance to the very centre of the city, part a walk is through a nice park.

It was just ok. The overall conditions of the hotel is good. Room was clean and big enough to have a comfortable stay. Breakfast was very normal, I guess it can be improved. In general, I was happy with Dnister.
