  • Located on St. George Hill, over-looking the city of Lviv, the church was the perfect target for destruction in the past. At least two versions of the St. George Cathedral were built before the final construction of the church as it is seen today. The Cathedral of St. George became the mother congregation of the Greek-Catholic religion in Ukraine. The St. George Cathedral in Lviv, is home to one of the most treasured relics, which was brought to the cathedral by Bishop Jiseph Shumlianskyi in 1674. It is the Icon of the Virgin Mary, and is a spectacular and preserved artifact. The interior was decorated with luxurious embellishments created by the local artistic talents of Lviv. Pinsel, the sculptor of the cathedral, created the spectacular St. George (known as the Dragon Slayer) statue. The St. George statue can be viewed in the attic of the cathedral, while the intimidating statues of St. Athanasius and St. Leo protect the portal. Renovations to the St. George Cathedral took place in the 1996, restoring the original beauty of the cathedral. Tourists, visiting this amazing historical masterpiece will not be disappointed. Over and above the cathedral, visitors can also visit the belfry, walk through the peaceful gardens or enter the final resting place of many important figures of the past in the tombs below the cathedral.

  • Lovely view of old Lviv from the top of the tower in the center of Ploscha Rynok. That's the Latin Cathedral, one of the oldest still-active churches in the city. To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

Motorbike trip from Scotland to Istanbul

Hotel was perfect, staff were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. Had an air raid in the middle of night but nothing to worry about, breakfast was a lovely buffet. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. For us traveling as only English speaking it was very helpful to have ladies at the front desk understand and give assistance in our travel needs. Great place to see Lviv or work from

We stayed here and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was good with a decent variety. The parking is small, but they manage to fit you in. The hotel is quiet even though it is located on a large main street, which gives you fast access to city center, shopping, the train station, and small grocery stores.

Relatively low priced good and friendly hotel.

Very friendly staff. Nice comfortable clean rooms and a good stable Wi-Fi connection throughout the entire hotel. I also used the laundry services and it was very quick and professional. Overall this is a very good and relatively low price hotel for any business trip.

The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk into the city centre and a 15minute uber ride to the airport. We found this was the perfect location for our weekend away. The staff here are so lovely and hospitable. We were allowed to leave our bags prior to check-in and then again after we had checked-out. Variety of options available for breakfast. The room was very clean and of a decent size. Would defintely stay here again. Lviv, is an incredible city and I would recommend this hotel for your visit.

Merkeze inerken taksi ile gidip geldik. Bölge olarak tenha olduğu için güvenli gözükmüyordu.Etraf oldukça karanlıktı. Kahvaltı olarak çeşitlilik azdı. Aç kalmadık fakat damak tadımıza uygun bir şey bulamadık; domates peynir dahil. Özellikle kahvaltı salonundaki görevli kızların tavrı hoşumuza gitmedi. Onun dışında odalar temiz, her gün düzenli olarak temizleniyordu. Otel aslında 4 katlı ama merdivenle çıkılan 5. bir katları vardı. Bu kattakilerin yürüme sesi bile 4. Katta çok rahat duyuluyordu. Giderseniz 4. Katı istemeyin. Aynı fiyata daha merkezi oteller bulabilirsiniz ama alternatif olarak da düşünülebilir.

Located about 15 minutes by foot from the train station and about 20 minutes by foot from the city center. The staff is excellent - friendly and helpful. The suite was nice and comfortable. The huge bathroom has only a very tiny shower. Perhaps they are going to out in a jacuzzi later. There is menty of room for a bathtub. Otherwise the bathroom was beautiful. Very clean and sanitary. A very enjoyable stay that we will repeat again. Highly recommend this hotel.
