Northern Comfort Overlooking Caribou Lake- Spacious and Secluded

Northern Comfort is overlooking Caribou Lake in the lovely area of Lutsen, Minnesota. Located on a private drive, the home is situated on over 2 acres of wooded land. The 3,000 sq. ft. home is completely furnished with high end décor and incorporates a blend of modern yet rustic charm.

The home sleeps up to 10 adults comfortably, and is comprised of 3 bedrooms + a loft with a futon, 2 ½ bathrooms, an open main living area, a spacious modern kitchen, 2 wood-burning fireplaces, a rec room, and a den. The exterior of the home consists of two outdoor living areas including a covered porch accessible from the main level dining area and a large open deck with a nearby fire pit that is located just off of the lower level.

The home is in a prime location being only a short drive from Lake Superior and Lutsen Mountains. There are plentiful year-round activities and attractions in the area to please a wide variety of interests including skiing, hiking, canoeing, golfing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, sightseeing, or just relaxing in the comfort of the home. There are countless hiking, snowmobiling, and 4-wheeling trails that are accessible from our property.

Great location as a base for hiking and visiting several state parks as well as a day in Grand Marais. Many spaces for the 6 of us to spread out and then come together for meals, inside and outside.

Family Get Away

The property and location were outstanding! The house was beautifully appointed and situated between Lutsen and Grand Marais- allowing easy access to all of the state parks and attractions we wanted to visit. We hope to return again someday.

Great location and a beautiful large cabin/home. We had our three adult children and their spouses and there was plenty of room. Loved the large dining room table that was big enough for all of us to be around. It was VERY clean!

Beautiful location. Easy access to highway 61. Close to hiking. The fall color was outstanding - perfect timing! Easy drive to Gondola in Lutsen and Grand Marais.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat!

Beautiful cabin and the pictures don't even do it justice. Views are amazing from each level. Plenty of space and things to do for everyoe in the family. We'd hoped to try the outdoor firepit, but it was too cold this time. A short drive to Lutsen Ski area. Dependable wifi so streaming movie nights was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Wonderful memories made!

The Northern Comfort was just as described, if not better! We visited the area for skiing with our 11 and 13 year olds. This property is in a great location, has everything you need to cook a meal, incredibly clean and has a great layout. Highly recommend!

Family get-away

This house was amazing! It was very well stocked with kitchen supplies and games. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace! The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The location was beautiful and the view from all the windows was breathtaking. Only recommendation would be to add lamps on the end tables for reading and a better furniture arrangement for watching movies. Both of these were kinda difficult but overall great experience!

Marathon weekend stay

We had a great weekend stay in early Sept. We cam up for the Fall Superior Trail marathon that me and a friend were running in. The location was very private, but close enough to Lutsen. We loved the house and wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the house and what it had to offer. We did love the wood fireplaces as it did get pretty chilly at night. Very spacious and.clean!

A grest spot for a restart of our yearly trip.

First impressions as walk was oh my god all the woodm after entering its dang more wood. The views were respendant and the noise wass outdoors with the rare car far off in the distance. Beautiful!!

We stayed in this gorgeous home with our adult kids and their partners. The pictures posted do not even begin to show the beauty of this place! There was more than enough space for 6 adults, and the location is perfect. We hiked on the superior hiking trail (just a half mile down the road), spent time in Grand Marais, and went to many state parks. Thank you Northern Comfort for a lovely stay!
