"I really liked this hotel, it was our second visit but, they completely messed up our dinner. We pre ordered the roast pork but, unfortunately they ran out! We ended up with ham, egg and chips which was laughable, the ham looked like thinly sliced spam, the egg was overcooked and we had a few oven chips! It was so bad we got up and walked out, which i have never done before and I’m 67!
I have emailed the hotel but, no reply!
We won’t be going back!"
"We stayed in July, was very hot. There was no air con but we had a fan in the room.
Shower was very slow and bed small ( I like a king size if for two people)
Overall was ok, closed to the town, free parking and breakfast was excellent.
Staff very friendly. I would recommend for short stay."
"The staff are all, without exception, the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish to meet. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless and the food was excellent"
"A nice twin room overlooking the rear of the hotel and kitchen extraction which meant we had to close the windows when breakfast started. It's a noisy, creaky hotel so no lie in.
Room was clean but other areas of hotel felt not so. There was a random mop and bucket of dirty water on the stairs the whole time we were there.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Parking easy (on a sunday) with £7 permit from hotel.
Breakfast was lovely, a decent choice and English breakfast items were great.
Great...
"The property itself is lovely and tucked away with its own little alley. The pub and garden were charming, and the wine room was cool and cozy. However, staff was often nowhere to be seen in the restaurant or pub, and one of the younger men always seemed annoyed by anything you wanted.
Food was grossly overpriced for what you got, and the rooms were unbearably hot. We also couldn't get the towel warmer to turn off so the bathroom was sweltering and we had to keep the door shut to keep the rest...
