Great room - hotel a bit too busy

Overall a pleasant stay. Location was good - about 1 km from the old city centre in Lüneburg and with a nice park area just outside the hotel. Our room (suite) was very nice and spacious. It was located at the far end of the corridor which may explain the very poor WiFi - we never managed to get a connection. Hotel seemed a bit too busy/crowded. Long line at check-in - long waits for elevators - crowded breakfast restaurant - etc. Staff was friendly, though. And then I missed an electric kettle or other ways to make a cup of coffee in the room. Do german hotels not have that?

Das Frühstück war gut sortiert und reichlich. Das Personal hat stetig aufgefüllt. Der Speisesaal war etwas überfüllt und recht warm. Die Bar war leider etwas ohne entsprechende Atmosphäre. Im Zimmer waren leider keine Alternativkissen vorhanden.

Habe um rund 24.00Uhr, obwohl ich mich schon Mittags gemeldet hatte rund 14.30Uhr an der Rezeption, war das Hotel geschlossen und konnte ich nicht rein zum Zimmer. Nach fast 3/4 Stunde warten kam endlich der Nachtportier um den Eingangstür von der Rezeption aus elektrisch zu öffnen. Keine Entschuldigung nichts! Finde ich sehr schlecht.

Fangen wir mit dem Positiven an: gute Parkmöglichkeiten unter dem Hotel (aber: 10 Euro/Nacht), Citynah, großes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, direkt an der Salztherme Salü Negativ: Schlechter Instandhaltungszustand, fremdes Haar auf dem Kopfkissen, allgemein nicht gut sauber, keine Annehmlichkeiten außer Seifen- und Duschgelspender, man kann definitiv erst 15 Uhr einchecken (da waren andere Hotels bisher jedes Mal - wirklich jedes Mal! - kulant)
