"First trip to Munich. We tried to book a hotel close enough to park and walk to shops, tourist sites, and restaurants. The hotel lobby and restaurant were pretty and clean, but the room was tight and old-looking. The hotel was also in a rough part of town - gambling and strip clubs on the same block. It is also a neighbor to several hostels. We planned to have a nicer hotel, so this was disappointing. We definitely didn't venture out at night. We were a 15- 20-minute walk to the old town area. The hotel restaurant had good dinner food and an amazing breakfast. The staff was helpful and kind. We probably would not stay here again bc of the location."

"Room was clean, shower ok, bed was comfy. Area was a little ropey with large numbers of males standing around and staring at two females on their own. The door to our side of the hotel kept being left open by the takeaway below by showing a heavy weight in front of the door which made it feel a little less safe. the smell from the takeaway below permeated the room constantly and we were on the 3rd floor! Whilst not unpleasant (garlic and onions lol) my clothes and hair smelt of same in the morning :( Ok for a brief stop if you just need to get your head down for one night, didn’t feel comfortable walking around in the early evening to find a place that wasn’t a kebab shop nearby…"

"Stayed one night. The hotel is in a good location for the station, check-in was excellent especially as our room was upgraded which was a very nice gesture & appreciated. Lovely room with balcony. Free coffee & tea facilities in reception. An enjoyable night & recommend & would definitely stay again."

"Nice lower cost hotel in central Munich. It was just between the main train station and core city center. We were with our teenage daughter and the shower (typical shower with glass doors) was open to the entry hall part of the room. The sink and vanity was also open to the room. Only the small room with the toilet had a proper privacy door. So it wouldn’t be a big deal for a single person or couple, but lacked a bit of privacy for a family with older children sharing the room. There were restaurants, business, and a tram line on the street so even though it would have been nice to open the windows, it was quite noisy on the street below. But the room had AC and the windows provided great sound insulation for the street noise. So no issues sleeping at all. We arrived and departed by train which was just 2-3 blocks away. We also rented a car for a day and there are numerous rental car agencies within a few blocks. We wanted a car for Sunday and found that only Europcar was open for pickup and drop off on Sunday. But that worked out well so we didn’t have to park in the city. The Marianplatz was 10-15 min walk and it was about twice that to the Munich Residence Palace or the English Garden park. Staff wasn’t super friendly, but not a big deal. I think they were just all business and light on personality."
