Beautifully Renovated Vintage Cabin in the Heart of Manistee National Forest

  • Beautifully redesigned, vintage, comfortable, super clean cabin located in the heart of Manistee National Forest. Totally secluded with no neighbors in sight. Cabin sits on 5 wooded acres and is surrounded by hundreds of acres of Manistee National Forest. Our place has been recently remodeled and beautifully appointed. Close to fishing ( WORLD RECORD BROWN TROUT CAUGHT 4 MILES AWAY), hunting, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, mountain biking, (Big M Cross Country and mountain bike trails are only 3 miles down the road) canoeing and kayaking, and snowmobiling ( catch the trails right from the driveway). Beautiful covered front porch with huge patio and charcoal grill. Also has a firepit for those evening bonfires! The cabin comes totally furnished and also has a washer and dryer. The bathroom and bedroom are very large and there is a leather sofa and futon in the living room. We also have 2 very comfortable roll away sleeper cots. You will not be disappointed with our place!

Peace and Quiet

This cabin was amazing. The location was great for everything outdoors! It was clean and spacious. Not to mention the peace we got to enjoy being in the woods. We look forward to returning!

This cabin was in an ideal location. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed staying there except the bed was uncomfortable and creaked loudly everytime either my husband or myself turned over.

Great Weekend

My husband and some of our close friends stayed at the cabin for the North Country Trail race weekend. The cabin was super clean, roomy, and close to the start/finish. This is the place we will want to stay every time we go back for this race or if we just want to spend the weekend in Manistee!

Cozy, clean cabin in the woods. Close to trails and Tippy Dam. About 20 minutes from downtown Manistee which is a very cute town. Just a little noisy at times with the traffic since it’s right off the main highway.

Perfect Up North Getaway

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful, secluded cabin near Lake Michigan for our annual trip up north, and this was perfect! Very clean and tidy, with all the amenities needed to prepare meals after a day at the beach and then kick back and relax around the campfire at night. We loved it! Owners are super friendly and respond quickly to messages. Thank you so much for everything. We'll be back someday for sure.

Cute and cozy!

Cute and cozy little cabin. Very very clean. we enjoyed the shooting range right off the porch. Check in and out was a breeze. Right off the road from the trails. Only complaints were that the bed wasn’t very comfy and the headboard was noisy upon any slight movement. Overall we really enjoyed our getaway and would stay here again!

Cabin is beautiful inside and out. Convenient grill and fire pit area. We love to target shoot and this property is equipped with a great area for this. Comfortable bed, extremely soft sheets!! Shawn is very fast to respond to any questions and cares about his renters. Also quite near to Lake Michigan for a great day at the beach. Thanks for a fun and comfortable stay, Shawn and family! Salmon Fishing

We chose this rental for it's proximity to Tippy Dam Recreation area to meet our guide. It was great because it was far enough away but still a close drive (20 minutes). The house is 20 minutes from the town of Manistee which is incredibly beautiful with fun shops and dining. The house was fun and had everything we needed. On the nights we weren't fishing we were able to have a campfire and relax outside. My husband enjoyed target shooting at the onsite range. Honestly, last year we stayed at a fancier, more expensive house but had more fun here. Shawn and his wife were very responsive to any questions. Overall, I would highly recommend!

This property was gorgeous! It was so peaceful it included everything you could imagine, we only had to bring our food, clothes and toiletries! It was the perfect getaway located on 5 acres in the woods. We can’t wait to be back! The hosts were wonderful as well! I would give more than 5 stars if we could! Thank you for the perfect little cabin for our wedding anniversary!

The fire stick TV was constantly interrupted by Alexa telling you that there was motion at front door and side door of someone else’s home. Difficult to watch tv bc of interruptions. The box spring on mattress was old a squeaky when you got out of bed to use restroom. Kinda of overpriced but I could afford to pay so just an observation. Well stocked kitchen with the basics. The well pump should be put on its own circuit bc when it runs the bathroom lights blink. Overall lighting inside poor. Furniture ok but couldn’t sit on futon.

We had an awesome family trip in the Manistee area at this cabin! Their cabin is very clean, and has nice modern upgrades alongside lots of woodwork.and neat decor. It's very relaxing nestled in the woods. My kids really loved time around the camp fire.
