Well we had some hiccups but all in all everything was lovely restful and relaxing!
What a GREAT getaway!!!Rustic yes!!!Views were AMAZING!VERY PLEASED WITH THE HOSTS, THEY WERE VERY ACCOMIDATING!!!I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS LITTLE GEM. IT WAS THE BEST!!!THE BEST!!!WE WILL MAKE THIS A REGULAR GET AWAY
Cabin was cozy and the view was great from the back porch. If you like catching quality size bass this is your honey hole. The only sounds you will hear is nature.
With this place you have the peaceful quiet retreat ur looking for but with the convenience of a lil Ma n Pa country store not 5 mins up the road. With a 48 acre pond full of crappie, bass, and bream theres plenty of fishing to do among sight-seeing as well. The hosts were very accommodating also quick to respond to any questions or concerns we have had. Highly recommend this place if a quiet, country, simple little getaway is what ur looking for!!!!

Directions to property
The cabin was AWESOME The view was INCREDIBLE BUT the directions to the property were inaccurate We got lost Please give more accurate directions WE WILL USE THE PROPERTY AGAIN (now that we know how to get to it)
The cabin was great as always. We enjoy the secluded nature of the property itself. The fishing was not as good as other trips we have made to this lake, but it has been a long hot summer with no rain and the lake was 5-6 feet lower than normal. We still caught fish! We will be back!

Felt like we were being watched due to emails we received about us driving down towards the water, hard for me to walk. Pictures of the place were not what we saw. Grass was high and we had boaters coming right up to our dock, there for it made it hard for us to enjoy a “secluded” weekend. Cabin was clean and absolutely inviting. Also four wheelers all around us.
This was a great little getaway, The cost per night was fair for what you get.The lake and fishing was great. although be prepared for the road to cabin and boat ramp need some attention it wouldn’t hurt to cut back overgrown bushes and maintain the road and mowing the grass down to the lake area. The cabin is sufficient, The hot water is hot and the air conditioner is cold beds just OKAY.
although it would have been nice if spiderwebs were knocked down and hanging lights need to be replaced. The short hike from the cabin to the lake is a bit much walk bake uphill if you have any kind of walking issues..
The property was very nice. It is secluded, more so than the listing shows. But that was fine with us. Our only issues were that the entrance to the property was not marked, and it was difficult to find, and the choice of bedding for the beds in the loft could have been better. Als, the drive way/parking area at the property is not well defined/designated. The fishing was very good, and that was a bonus because our whole family are avid fisherman. We did thoroughly enjoy our trip however and would not hesitate to stay at that property again.
This cabin did not disappoint. If a completely peaceful and scenic out of the way getaway is what you are after then this is the place. There is no wifi and only regular TV so you have no choice but to unwind and finish your book or drop a line in the water and absorb a spectacular sunrise. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. Plenty of very hot water. A big tv with plenty of dvds. And a porch swing to die for. I hope to return as soon as possible.
Our overall stay was lovely. However, the property was quite dirty, there were no signs marking the driveway as the directions had stated, and the sheets/blankets had spiders in them and did not appear to have been washed in quite a while. As someone who grew up on a farm in the country, I am accustomed to insects and the dirt that can come into a building from living in the country. But, as a guest staying in a cabin for a retreat, I would appreciate a cleaner space. Nevertheless, this will not keep me from booking the cabin again or recommending it to friends because it was a lovely location and a calming retreat.

Lucdale lake cabin
Host was quick to respond to messages, cabin is small but all we needed for a few days. Overall a neat place. Only a couple of things, the fire pit picture gives you the impression that it is close to the cabin but it is actually about 75-100 yards down a steep hill from the cabin and those nice blue chairs in the picture are not there, thankfully we brought our own. You can’t drive down to the pit so prepare to tote fire wood and chairs the distance down hill. The windows were not cleaned and cob webs hung from all corners of the building and under the porch. ( not crazy about spiders).Inside, things were clean, linens were fresh and bathrooms were clean, kitchen, etc No complaints there. Fishing was good, caught plenty but nothing huge and that’s ok. Overall had a good time with a wonderful friend. Will probably return in the future.

Inside the cabin was gross. The top floor with the 2 beds had spider egg sacs on top of the ceiling. Luckily there were no active nests. It seemed like the place was not vacuumed in a long time. There are tons of hairs, dust, and food items in the cracks of the bottom floor. Underneath the bed had people’s trash items, and definitely was not swept underneath the bed in awhile. The towels that were provided smelled awful. The lamp that I tried to use beside the bed wouldn’t turn on and turns out the lightbulb is missing from it. Lighting is adequate, but the light above the sink in the bathroom does not work. In the bathroom window there appears to be a crack from a bullet. The owners did not fix the window with the bullet hole, so cold air can come into the bathroom. The chairs depicted in the photo are not there, which we knew prior to going but in case someone might not know. I am definitely not going back. I stayed 2 nights because I wouldn’t get my money. The owners claimed they take the cleaning seriously but they do not. I am a bit worried the bed sheets were not clean but they smelled clean, so there’s that. Other than that, the view on the back porch looks great.
